Does the storm centre appear to be going Northwards? Is that not different from the forecasted trajectory?

Yeah funny, isn’t it! It’s like all of a sudden we’ve got a little clearance. Interesting to see how long it lasts.

Squally looking band of rain taking moving north from Wexford and taking aim at Wicklow again and that looks to be the worst of the rain then passed here, at least for a while. Gusty here at the moment too but nothing major, strongest winds still a few hours away going by Met Eireann, peaking between 3-5
Wind has suddenly kicked here again west of ballincollig after that clearing which was beautiful blue skies for awhile

Yeah. I was on a work call and had to go on mute with the noise.
Definitely made the right call in WFH and keeping kids home. But I am lucky that I have that option.

I've said it already and the posts were deleted; Met Eireann knew this was coming and waited until it was too late to warn people about it. Minimum notice = Maximum damage. The excuse that 'they had to wait until they were absolutely sure' doesn't cut it. This was the midnight AROME run yesterday, yet they sat on their hands until 9pm, a whole 21 hours later, before issuing an Orange Alert. Unbelievable.
No electricity here in tipp and reports of multiple roads blocked because of fallen trees,its going to be fun later trying to get the children home from the local school
