Its also clear Rogan does no research at all into his guests. They didnt even bring up the Foxcatcher thing did they?
He was fantastic. Of all the big wrestling names he had on Kurt has been the by far the best. I found Flair, Hogan and Taker pretty underwhelming.
I think it’s because he really connected with Joe due to his combat sports history.
I’m not sure whether having Tony Hinchcliffe there is a plus or a minus. I’m not a huge fan but I think I’d nearly prefer a separate pod by Tony Hinchcliffe really going into the proper ins and out at a level familiar to pure wrestling fans. Joe is just too much a layman.
Sadly we'll never get too see Edge vs KO or Sami now. Edge's WWE Return was acceptable but a lot of bad luck associated with it.
Injuries and the pandemic took away a lot from it
The Rumble entrance will always be a great moment and actually getting to see him Wrestle in person in Cardiff was amazing (saw him at a Inside the ropes event in Dublin before)
Same, had them all except Hardcore Holly had to look it up haha
Got them all. Had 24/25 with 2 minutes to go and spent ages trying to remember Bob Holly's finisher!
Best of luck
Got 72%, could picture the moves but couldn't think of the name
Poster for my promotions next show.
One of my all time favourite comedy scenes is from King of Queens when the guys are trying to win back their favourite table at the bar and when they are trying to act tough suddenly all their enemies are famous MMA fighters
Don't know why I was thinking of it but I was just remembering years ago at college (~1999-2002) and reading wrestling sites that had clickbaity links that were nowhere near true but I still clicked them. While today's clickbait links are just things like "Backstage turmoil as WWE star picks fight with Vince" that lead to stories that the headlines exaggerate back then it would be something like "Full details of ECW buying WWF" or "Shawn Michaels debuts in WCW"
They’ve just brought her in with the narrative that she’s come up from a feeder fed to the big time, it makes zero sense for her to come in and squash the established champ. Sends the opposite message.
No wrestling is about wrestling. All wrestling is about storytelling. If it wasn't then people wouldn't follow it and watch actual combat sports instead.
Jade could be a megastar for them, I really hope she is and Jade would have the real crossover appeal that the rest of the women’s roster there don’t really have.
Id have her come straight in and beat Rhea who cares if she isn’t the best worker she is a star
WWE isn’t about wrestling it’s about storytelling making movies.
Jade Cargill is a tremendous signing for WWE.
The perfect looking athlete, already getting the superstar treatment and we'll never forget her AEW debut.
One issue though... she's still not ready to go with Becky, Charlotte, Rhea, Bianca, etc...so who are they gonna feed her? Where's the build?
You learn somethuing new everyday and this one passed me by untill today
Mick Foley and Kevin James were on same high school wrestling team and James was ranked just ahead of Foley as the number one wrestlers to Foleys second rank.
His channel is very insightful for someone is not a wrestling fan who wants to learn aspects of wrestling business.
Wrestlers on Netflix is an interesting look at that. They talk about Shera, their champion, coming from India working Impact over there 10-12 years ago and then in the States with Impact. Gets signed to WWE and is sacked after 6 months and now he's doing the bingo hall circuit with OVW and still with Impact and he's still only 32/33.
Just a random thought given the WWE releases but being a WWE wrestler is crazy when you think about it.
It can take you years to get to wwe (if youre lucky enough / good enough to get there) Then you're likely to get put in the performance centre first and many don't even get out of that. But let's say you do then you have to get out from NXT and be called up to the main roster. That's a feat in itself.
So now you're lucky enough to be main roster and this is where you can make a "name" for yourself problem is the average WWE run is what, 5 years? But the wwe machine is an interesting beast. It can make a nobody a somebody but it can also give you that jobber stink.
For every Randy Orton, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns (Bona-fide Stars) there's been hundreds.... (a thousand?) of guys over the last 20/30 years who only had a sip of coffee and that was it.
Of course life isn't fair. I just think it's mad that someone could apply themselves for years, get lucky, get jobber stink and be washed up by the time you're 30 or whatever.
I’d say he has the same guy ‘running’ it that Stevie Richards has. They’re hitting the algorithm perfectly and both are good in their own ways.
Kurt Angle was excellent on Joe Rogan
Yup i'm a sub
He's very good
Anyone watch Maven’s YouTube channel?
Ive watched a few of his video and its really good.
19 years ago today, Elix Skipper walked the cage in TNA
Just if anyone has the same question pwtees do ship the items in stock and do a separate delivery for preorder items.
Only experience I've had with them is ordering the Punk shirt tbh. I know WWEShop held all of my order previously as one was a pre order though so maybe they do the same?
Not a hollow reign either. Plenty of quality matches and some good feuds. Not bad for a guy who was having career obituaries written for him after the name change.
Didn't want to create a whole topic for this, I've also emailed pwtees but figured someone may know here.
If you place an order on pwtees and the order contains a preorder and other items. Do they hold the whole order until the preorder item is ready to ship or do 2 separate shipments?
Buddy (and dom dom) are lucky men
I was just coming in to comment on Rhea...she does indeed look incredible.
Definitely doesn't skip back day.
Rhea currently has the best look in wrestling, by far. Like something out of a comic book, she looks class.
Still to this day think he never should've gotten rid of Burn in my Light, even though he apparently hated it. I love it.
Would be great if he came back from injury for a nostalgia run with that theme, and have his "Legend killed" by some young up and comer to go full circle on his career. Or have that wrestler come out to that song to mess with Orton, that would be a cool spot.
