Does this look bad this far out?
I know it's not 76mph is red so it's almost red territory
With all due respect Dazler, you're making a lot of statements on this thread, I'm sure you're just trying to be helpful but it's mostly pure speculation on your part and quite misleading for others trying to get a grasp of what's likely going to happen.
75mph is still not far off red criteria
We'll have to see 👀 what models show but at present it is only showing high end orange warnings ,I can see a few more counties being added into orange I honestly think the east should be anyway
Ye even bbc knocked down wind speeds to between 60 and 75mph gusts for tomorrow so only orange warnings going by that
...
High resolution AROME model updating
Is love tomorrow off, Thurs and Fri too if possible so I'll take all the reds please. 😆
Schools are in an awkward position re orange warnings - Red is a closure sanctioned by the dep - orange isn’t. No school wants to close without clear guidance it causes by far too much fall out for the school particularly if the wrong call is made and it turns out there was no need to close.
Maybe after 7pm? the UKMO, GFS & ECM runs are 7pm this evening apparently
I dont think red is likely given the charts I have seen anyway. Think schools will be open judging by what i am seeing on twitter anyway.
In orange warnings it's up to the school of they close in red warnings it's mandatory, slowly the country be covered in all warning colours just watch by tomorrow morning, unless they issue fresh upgraded warnings this evening before people go to bed
Chance of embedded thunderstorms? Forecasted on the ME app for here.
Wind yellow for Galway now, they're really clueless.
RYAN AIR Flights tomorrow
As of now I think Orange wind and rain warnings seem to match whats happening. I would like to know if schools have any plans rather that a last minute message at 8 in the morning.
No I mean there's gonna be last minute warnings, I have enough knowledge that this is gonna happen , I can feel it
Violent storm force 11 off shore on the South Coast seems quite likely now. I am not sure the west will even get a yellow wind warning out of this. However I could be wrong!
You would be moaning if they named it got all the warnings out and then it missed us or was not as bad as forecast.
Just to alert you the meaning of forecast is predict or estimate (a future event or trend). They are guessing so try not to get too excited.
The storm is named so clearly they are using the system. Why should the South and East get all the priority. The West has storms which reached orange/Red levels and they were totally missed. The people in the west go to work and school just like everyone else.
The UK Met Office has a supercomputer for weather modelling, The Irish met office does not so that's maybe why they spotted this first.
Tbf lots of work policies are it's grand when yellow or orange but if red don't come in.
Orange you glad there's only 3 colours
Erah I think most people just want a red warning to get the day off work tomorrow. Don’t think anybody is obsessed, they’d just like a day off!
It was a sting jet i think caused all the problems with Darwin. Not sure if any possibility of that here but am sure the experts will outline.
This is gonna be like storm Darwin late warnings when the storms here , but with ev retired the others don't really know what to do
Dont look Up
Or blue in the face
Are you seeing red?
I'd say you are RED faced by now
The obsession with warnings and the colour of them are driving me insane!
No warnings for them yet.
