assuming that asylum seekers are going to cause trouble is pretty racist to be fair.
I never suggested they would start trouble, so I'm not sure where you're getting that from.
I seem to have disgruntled a few virtue signallers in here....
You are now racist if you say you dont want to live beside a converted nursing home that will house 100 refugees....
Good to know.
The reality is, you don’t know if it will be converted. It is only a possibility with the probability being unknown. It is exactly like buying an house in a nice estate. You never know who could buy the house next door. It can be the worst neighbours ever.
Blatant, unprovoked muck stirring. This is a peaceful forum where we just amicably discuss houses and other people's shocking taste. Then you seagull in with totally made up nonsense. Just go and annoy someone else.
Utter wind-up scutter.
Started with "would you buy bedside a nursing home", then next post it might be converted, next post it might be converted to house refugees, next post it's 100 refugees.
You'd think they'd at least try to be a bit subtle with their **** stirring! 🙄
Mod - Let's get back on track please.
Discussion about who you might or might not like to live beside are irrelevant to this thread.
Feel free to start a separate discussion on that in either CA or A&P.
Thanks.
Hilda
Apologies if we have had this before. Ridiculous pricing aside, I love the rear verandas.
But for the love of god, what were they thinking in the bathroom in pic 23
That's one ugly, overdone house and the bathroom is like something from Vegas. It would give you hives on your eyeballs.
Great find!
First thought - that's really a pretty house and garden decorated with a spectacular lack of imagination and creativity. Does anyone ever look at all those photos? And why two dining rooms? I won't even mention the bathroom. Notions!
Second thought....I saw the price and made an inelegant snorting sound. Definitely notions.
(I love the 'hives on your eyeballs')
Edit: I was just arguing to myself that it is a diplomat type house and suitably set up for entertaining. But I had to tell myself that being a diplomat does not mean you have to be boring. Or does it?
I'd say it's an area where it's important to fit in with your neighbours and not be too daring. Conservative, bland and notiony, although they lost the run of themselves altogether in the bathroom.
Not the demographic I rub shoulders with and at €13 mil for the pleasure that won't be changing any time soon. 😂
Dirty old town, dirty old town
Micky Green's old house.
Not the Australian female pop singer I'm assuming

Didn't that horsey wallpaper in pic 24/25 feature in some other house on here a while back?
Or was it this same one, and that's just all I remember of it?? 🤔
Same house was posted here before. Mad money for a house right next to the motorway.
Don't like the look of that long outbuilding next door. Could be converted to house you know who...
One of Denis O'Brien's kids.
Kitchen really lets this house down, imo. The bathroom is gas
but the rear and the garden are just fantastic!
There was a feature in last week's IT about it, I could link but I think it's paywalled. Anyway the current owners are quoted but not named. However they do mention having parties there for which the layout is ideal. I doubt if you or I (well me anyway) would be likely to be on the guestlist.😉
If I lived in a €13m house I'm sure I'd have notions as well.
Here you go.

This is back on the market after a few years. It was 3M+ the last time it was on sale. I love the metalwork and the mosaics
Oh Jaysis, that house is a nightmare to me. It's like a mixed up muddled up weird. I'm getting tense just looking at the pics, I couldn't ever relax in there!
The mosaics aren't bad though.
Yeah the layout is a bit of a mystery.
Urgh. Looks like a nautical nightmare. And anything entering that gaff would smash immedietely.
Metalwork, mosaics, stained glass are all amazing. It just doesn’t look like a home to me. I’d probably end up hanging laundry to air on those metalwork pieces.
God help anyone who visits in a wheelchair or mobility scooter.
Metalwork in that house looks like an absolute horror show. Reminds me of something from a Tim Burton film.
Yeah everything looks sharp and hard.
I reckon they're selling because they had a kids birthday party and all the kids died while running around playing. They all got skewered like shrimp at a Bondi Beach BBQ.
