Yeah this one looks lovely - mileage a little high but would be decent for a run around I suppose !
It's priced cheap, but is that a crack in the instrument gauge and it's absolutely filthy - the state of the inside would be enough for me to walk away personally.
Some on here say that's where the bargains are to be found, like yourself I'd walk away as I'd see that as a reflection on how it was cared for in general. Auto box could be a minefield too.

As Sir Galahad says though, they are thirsty, that's the only negative imo.
ULTRA reliable. Only thing that should go wrong is aircon.
Hih miles on a gen 2 CRV (rd9) would be:-
200k petrol
300k diesel.
Miles, not kilometres. I'm on 390k km on an 06 cdti. Pretty much unkillable. The petrols are even harder to kill and will do 300k miles no problem.

High emissions, you need to be careful buying cars registered around that era many were duped by unscrupulous salesmen, some diesels were scaldy too especially autos.

In 2008 anything registered could go on whichever tax system was the lowest. However anything registered from 2009 was forced onto the new Co2 tax system only. So anything with high emissions fell under a high tax bracket. There were a few models with high emissions like that A4 that suddenly became unsellable due to the high tax rate, dealers eventually registered them and offloaded them. A 1.6 Toyota Avensis was the same, 500 or something for a 2008 model but €750 if the same car was registered in 2009.
I wouldn't have thought a 1.8 petrol could have such a high emissions rating.
VW produced that engine since the mid 1990s and it didn't change much until it was killed off when low emission regulations became a thing.

Only 2 months left on the NCT but claims to have had a lot of work done. €1850 doesn't buy you much these days but this could be ok and these are getting rare now.
The better half had one of them for a few years. Great little yoke. It was her car when our youngest arrived, was able to fit the buggy and all. 1.4 petrol was a piece of piss to work on and that's saying something as I'm fairly Ham fisted at the best of times! Sold it on here about a year or so ago.
