Stunning!!!!
Some estate agents are gombeens. Pyrite isn't a strong selling point.
DNG Royal County bring this end of terrace, property to the market. This property will give you the opportunity to embrace the challenge and let your imagination run wild as you bring this house to life! It is important to note that the estate has experienced issues with pyrite, which adds a unique aspect to its history.
25 Bective Park, Bective Lodge, Kilmessan, Co. Meath is for sale on Daft.ie
WTF..... Only an EA could try to convince someone that their sh!t doesnt stink.
It is important to note that the estate has experienced issues with pyrite, which adds a unique aspect to its history.
That's actually absurd.
To be fair, looking at some of the pictures (picture 5 in particular) pyrite may be only one of the issues that needs addressing.
Yeah what the hell is that all over the door? Must have been a right dirty animal that lived there previously.
Unique aspect to it's history.....has to be one of the best lines ever 😂😂😂
House certainly has a few splashes of colour.
This is very 1970's!(House is very well cared for.)
Wow the Louth property reminds me of ‘The Brady Bunch’ house.
Looks like there is a big building project underway to the rear, and a LOT of tarmac in the adjoining property.
Gosh that Louth house is quite wonderful, like something stuck in a time warp. Parker Knoll style leather recliner with matching pouffe, G-Plan style dining room suite, round hallway mirror with wrought iron frame, bare neon lights on the kitchen ceiling, BLUE bathroom suite, Swish delux white plastic curtain track throughout, green quartz stone fire surround, polished copper lighting and beaten copper wall hangings in the sitting room, panelled pine ceilings, open tread stained wooden staircase, stained wooden bedroom built-ins with integrated mirrors and mirror doors, orange carpets in principal rooms and hall, stairs and landing with ott floral Youghal/Navan carpet in kitchen and small sitting room, framed Pius XII apostolic wedding blessing slightly out of place in a bedroom (should be on full view in the main sitting room), framed furniture store panoramic "art" on the walls and of course the chic Spanish Arches with the veranda within and the balcony overhead. A classic. RTE should snap it up for less than the cost of a year of Ryan Tubridy and use it as a fully complete set for the next period family drama.
absolutely brilliant!
Bizarre co-incidence - I woke up in the middle of the night - Newstalk was replaying stuff from during the day - I flicked open this thread, and literally as I was reading this post, someone on the radio was interviewing the lady who bought and owns the Brady Bunch house and has kept it as a museum of the show.
I've neither seen nor thought of the Brady Bunch in about 40 years!!
I thought I was having some sort of hallucinatory episode! 🤣
The Galway house is very - original? All those dark colours would be depressing, bit like living in a pub lounge. How do you get into the place though? The main door - the patio door effect on the front - is filled with a musical quartet!
Would people on this thread buy a house that is next to a nursing home?
I don't see why not. Old or disabled residents are unlikely to cause you any trouble. What do you think the issues may be?
Depending of the actual layout of the house and nursing home. Will there be visitors parking and blocking the house? Look at is this way, you could have worse neighbours than a confused old woman knocking on the door for a cup of tea.
I nearly needed sunglasses looking at those two houses. Lots and lots of colour and busy decor.
Great find for the thread, both of them.
I would be worried the nursing home could be converted to house refugees in the future...
The Louth house, is that carpet in the kitchen? Of course they have carpet in the bathroom as well.
I had a carpet similar to that but in shades of orange and brown, in the dining half of the kitchen/dining room. In the 70s of course. Also some of the hysterical wallpaper with huge semi-geometric patterns in a similar colour scheme in the living room. I liked it at the time.
I think this is lovely! Have walked by it many times, just need to win the lotto!
Wow.
I think you took a wrong turn, racist twitter is over that way.
Would you buy a house beside a converted nursing home that houses refugees?
No one seems to want to answer that question....which is all the answer I need.
No shortage of character there!
I don't care who's beside me once they are relatively quiet.
I agree, but that doesnt answer my question.....because the reality is you have no idea what you are getting next door...and it would be constantly changing....
If it worries you so much, which it seems is does, then don't buy it.
If that's the core issue I guess a house in the country and a car or bike would be the option
I live in an an apartment complex that houses refugees and believe me, they are not the ones that cause trouble.
We all want quiet neighbours and you never know who or what you will have living next door, but to say out loud that you wouldn't want to live next to people fleeing war or otherwise looking for asylum is 100% racist. you need to take a long look at yourself and your prejudices.
Some strong finishes in this house.
That Naas house is gorgeous, the owners have great taste.
@StevenToast, I wouldn't like to live beside a property housing refugees. I'd rather be surrounded by a community that had ties to the area. If that makes me a racist according to Boards so be it.
