Not a good look. I wonder did he go because this was going to come to light?

The Gardai should be completely independent and in my opinion should have sent in the fraud squad a long time ago.
The link won't embed for me this time but it's in my post below
From the article:
However, he [Drew Harris] added: “We haven’t received any complaints [re RTE].” The Commissioner said the force would only examine the possibility of an investigation if a complaint was made to it by executives in RTE.
That's quite handy for everyone in Govt and RTE isn't it...
Everyone knows how whistleblowers are dealt with Ireland so why would one suddenly spring from RTE?
If RTE were to provide all of this legal sensitive information which would quite likely lead to a legal response from the individuals involved. Would that not bring all of them out from their hiding places?
Okay, so legal action against RTE is not what they need but I think the general public would be on RTE's side and also could it lead to counter legal proceedings being brought against those involved during the process? IMO that's where the government/state should offer support to RTE on this.
Why do you keep changing your stance on Tubs plus I thought you had said you were finished posting on here?
And shur why not. From his point of view he has to keep his name out there.
I was finished posting on here but there's been one major change on this thread in the past few days. I'm free to post where I want and change my mind too.
What do you mean hanging my stance on Tubs. I'm not pro Tubs but just stating a few facts like he's a free man to launch books.
Can posters not cope with someone who thinks a little differently?
The thread needs a bit of balance. If I post something banal like Tubridy doesn't read many books and has an inflated ego I'm guaranteed 10 to 15 thumbs up. That's a thread without much critical thinking.
Yes he owes the taxpayer but as of now Tubridy is free to open his own supermarket, go to the moon, open his own brand of aftershave 'Le Toyman' if he wants.
Also I only post on here now and again. I've absolutely zero interest on being on this thread all day everyday following Tub's every move. I'd find it a complete waste of time and have more productive things to do for myself and my own life than writing posts constantly about someone who will never effect my life in any real way.
Just looking at some domain names (a few hundred million gTLD ones (.COM/NET/ORG etc) ) and their history. The ryantubridy . com one has an interesting registration date:
Creation Date: 2023-03-18T03:27:03
It had been registered and deleted a few times since October 2003 with the most recent deletion in May 2020. There are also co.uk and .ie versions.
Ryan Tubridy helped launch Tony Holohan’s memoir
Very cosy establishment indeed
If only some honest person in RTE would leak this sensitive information to the Irish Daily Mail
Yet you are still here.
RTE are now claiming they have not refused to hand over all the documentation they were asked to hand over.
I would trust the PAC on what they have said and not RTE.
RTE are playing a dangerous game here and as long as they keep playing it, less and less people will be paying their TV licence.
Does everything conspire against rte being open and accountable?
The way it was set up initially. Each new thing added most unbeknownst to the general public. Management ,boards. 'talent' all able to look out for each other and themselves.
I understand we need public tv supposedly removed from gov involvement but even with a media minister(hopeless) and two different boards running the place we have the mess that's been exposed this summer
It's just one scandal after another. Now the children's Hospital issues. Another coverup by some and others afraid or unwilling to speak up.
It's never ending.
All that "Truth" propaganda seems to be falling flat and people are starting to distrust RTE based on the licence fee non-renewals. I am not sure if the PAC can refer the RTE situation for a Garda investigation but this is a complete mess even for RTE.
Now and again I post. Read over the post again.
RTE playing the same hand as the banks circa '08 - '09
They believe they are both indispensable and untouchable. They just need to duck, dive and obfuscate until they get what they need, a big fat bailout from the state. Then it's back to screwing the customer even harder than before.
Let's hope our elected representatives decide to represent us this time. No funding of any kind until full cooperation with the PAC is achieved.
We have so many past, present and future scandals, which one do we deal with first?
A month later and, as I expected, the exit packages are in the spotlight.
The Law Library must be excited!

No more bailouts. RTE are 80 to 90 million in debt and are now dealing with bogus self employment. Any money they get won't be enough and they will be back like Oliver "Please sir can I have some more."
Another levy.
What's the worst that can happen if RTE Execs refuse to roll over:
for RTE Execs: Not so much. So they're forced to provide the docs and the public are appalled - but Moya, Breda and Geraldine will get to keep our money; Dee and Jim get to pretend they're still sick. Bakhurst is new and so going nowhere.
for FFG: Disaster. They'll have to be seen to take tough action reforming RTE so they can justify to the public why they're still funding their untrustworthy mouthpiece. But how can they combat the "far right" in a looming election without the most trusted press in the world, ROFL!
It will be like the water meters.
Anyone who thinks that I am going to fund their 300k WRC payouts as well can go **** themselves.
what does RTE have over on politicians and their parties as leverage in any sit down with the government over money
it’s a big game of cat and mouse
only loser is the tax payer
The bogus self employed matter, when fully addressed will make the amount in dispute with Mr T look like loose change!
Fairly **** has no public service benefit & is just another part of the bloated waste of money that is RTÉ
It's just happened.
Why is Holohan on the LLS? Charlatan.
Exactly it's estimated to be nearly €100M and as RTE already owe around €90M. They will be bankrupt unless the government steps in.
