It is made by BYD aka Build Your Dreams. Hope it comes here and that they change the name before it does,
This could really challenge the Tesla Model 3.
It looks great inside and out
Fair play. The Seal looks very interesting alright.
I’m surprised though that a non BMW dealer would give a decent trade in price for a nearly new i4 m50.
I would have expected it to be more than the €52k price of the seal too.
A lot more.
Slightly off-topic, but considering the lack of battery repairability and supercar performance levels of the likes of M3P and AWD Seal, how is this reflected in insurance costs for those that have them?
Significantly lower than any of the ICE performance cars I’ve had (V8, M3, S3, Evo….).
Don't see any finance rates on their website. Any info out there?
id expect a car that can do 0-60 in less that 4 seconds should have reasonable mid range acceleration for most peoples requirements.
Had a look to see what equipment is not fitted here but is in China.
Bluetooth mic for karaoke....eh won't be needing that anyway.
Built in dash cam. GDPR concerns maybe? A 360 degree parking camera is standard, but that won't be recording. Yes Tesla M3 has one, but that's unusual.
A 5G connection. Irish brochure says 4G, but I expect this is just due to some deal with a network here. Norway gets 5G.
5G isn't ubiquitous enough. 4G would have more coverage.
5G devices have automatic fallback to 4G or lower when there is no 5G network available.
It is, obviously I wouldn't be letting it go for less than or close to reasonable trade price.
5.9% was what I was told.
Post up the price when you get it as you may get someone here looking to buy and give you a little bit more?
I don't think there's too many people on boards buying a private sale car in the 75k+ range... Or anywhere in Ireland for that matter.
I could be wrong ..
Few grand difference (as expected) between BYD trade in price and the BMW trade in price against a 100k i5.
I was in msl today and the design will be 46k after grants.
Yes posted many times.
design €46
Excellence €51
Was enquiring about a trade in via email , haven’t got back to me (7days ago), reminds me of previous service from that company.,
Not great to deal with?
Better to call them instead of relying on emails.
I got a trade in value the same day from Navan Road once I called them. I got a text from the salesman and WhatsApp pictures of car sent over.
really simple, like the Tesla trade in price only quicker.
Generally with dealers you either ring them and make an appointment to turn up in person (ie test drives).
Or (if not too far away) just turn up.
They like to see the trade in car in person unless its their process in their brand/dealership to look for photos specifically
Not sure how relevant this manual is to the spec provided to Irish market but might give some insights to its capabilities
There's a break-in period of 2000km?
News to me that an EV would need it.
What does that entail I wonder 🤔
Break in wording. Seems strange.
I think they do a PHEV version in some markets so it's probably just in there for that.
Possibly.
Yeah advice for an ICE model obviously.
I've seen similar in one of the Leafs I've had. Basically take it easy for 1500km.
First video I've seen of an RHD Seal, from Singapore, where some people have already taken delivery.
Be thankful we are not paying their prices, it's as much as a Taycan Turbo S is here.
@derekreilly @MarkN
Gents, Any indication yet from BYD when ye will get an opportunity to do a test drive here in Ireland ?
