The information Booklet for the Open competition is below, if you need to refer to it at a later stage in the competition.
Best of luck everyone!
There are no further instructions regarding the summary report. Therefore, you can adjust your font size for your report to fix to 2 pages. You can fit more if the font size is smaller ;)
If this is part of your presentation, normally 1 A4 page at 1.5 spacing, 12 font =400 words, will take you about 2 minutes per page to present or discuss so I would try match it to your length of time, but maybe some one else who has already done this could give better advice. This is normally standard for reports, replies etc as easiest to read, see etc.
Focus on your content and don't worry about the font, spacing etc. if there's no guidance on it in the brief then it's up to you. That's what I did. I've heard of multiple approaches ie. referencing etc. what ever you put together its the content and professionalism that they will focus on
Does anyone know how long Garda vetting takes? I submitted all my information last Monday.
For anyone who got the job and started as an AP, how are you finding it please? Especially in comparison to being a HEO?
Bloody busier
Just wondering what Dept are you in?
Is that interviews over for this batch?
This batch 2.2 (or in other words batch 5). I don't know when interviews started or ended for this batch, but I do know they are happening next week.
Completely different! Not necessarily harder but totally new. And so busy! Really enjoying it though
I thought they were only on this week as it gave dates for the interview panel for this week on the message. Where does it says what batch it is? Sorry for all the questions!
Nope, I’ve my interview next week. It doesn’t say, I’ve just been following updates on here :)
Good luck 🤞🏼
Interview and Presentation tomorrow. Was on an internal AP panel having passed my interview. It expired of course. We go again :-(
Best of luck.
Meet your sister same happened me. At least your through to interviews on this comp my number not yet through to application culling round...Best of luck
AP higher comp was advertised last week for anyone interested
Is the AP higher open to anyone?
Existing APs and the top 160 from this comp.
Thanks, not for me so!
Any idea when results might issue for this batch?
Interviews finish tomorrow I think so at the earliest next Friday
Best of luck to all that had interviews.
Is it usually results out a week after the last round of interview's?
Seem pretty fast but I suppose its only the last week of scores to be finailsed so maybe it's doable....
Best of luck everyone! I'm really hope I make the panel! If I don't, I hope they announce a new competition before the end of the year.
Just guessing from previous rounds.
I'm not overly confident so just looking forward to knowing!
Same as that, just want to be.put out of my misery!!
From previous rounds it's been usually on the Friday 2 weeks after the last interview which tends to be a Friday. So if interviews ended last Friday 22nd, i would be expecting you to get results next Friday 6th. I could be wrong but that appears to be the pattern and how I got mine.
Results are out 😱😱😱 delighted I passed.
"As this round of interviews was for the Dublin Region you will receive your order of merit for any other chosen location (if any), should we reach your place for that region."
I'm almost sure this is the first time I was told these interviews were for Dublin only...
I'm on the panel for Dublin, does that mean I'd need to interview again if jobs come up for the other areas I selected? Also, does anyone know how long the panels last for before they start interviewing again? I'm in the 20s for the order of merit, not sure what chance of an offer that would give me.
Congrats to all who got good news!
