Having just completed RE4 on Quest 2 that PSVR2 version does look excellent.
Some decent looking games just nothing of interest to me except Spiderman. Don't even need to see any new videos or showcase for Spiderman, day one buy for me although a Digital Foundry video would be appreciated. Definitely one of my favourite games of the last 10 years.
Just give us silent hill 2 already dammit.
All that is needed now are bronze, gold and the super exclusive platinum covers and controllers 😉
There's something about Hell Divers 2 that just make me think of early-era online PS3 games. Feels like it would slot nicely alongside the likes of Warhawk, Starhawk, MAG and others of that time.
Not sure if that's a good thing but Sony really need to get Starhawk on PS Plus Premium.

I thought the Helldivers segment was awful, big Division 2 fake gameplay vibes off it.
The game does look somewhat interesting though.
I signed up a wk ago have no stars as of yet. I got xbox ultimate gamepass 8 days ago and have 1399 points already in the rewards points. Just so much easier to get them on xbox compared to PlayStation stars. It's like night and day between the 2 of them.
Yeah same, I preferred the topdown view of it, think it might have lost some of the charm.
The Final Fantasy bit looked great though, so many memories of playing the game from the little clips they showed
Didn't the developer say it was mostly finished at the start of the year and was just getting a bit of polish? Would have thought we could expect to see it early next year although Tokyo Game Show is next weekend so we may see it then, so many games have gotten release dates this Summer and a lot of them are a short wait. If we don't hear about it soon I won't get my hopes up for it coming in the next 6 months.
Bloober Team making a Silent Hill 2 remake is still a deeply unexciting prospect IMO. Maybe the most formative horror video game remade by a studio that has never made anything other than mediocre, generic horror games. I hope to be pleasantly surprised, but would much prefer a straight re-release (although Konami have been known to **** up even that in the past).
Potentially the best story driven game I've played or on PlayStation so my expectations are sky high.
I don't want a dumbed down yellow paint filled mess as Johnny said a straight up remake with polish is what we want. Sony need something to make the console special this could be it.

With Bloober's track record in mind, the fact they're not coming up with the core elements from scratch puts me at ease. That said, they could still make a balls of it. But at least they have the foundation of the story, level/character design in place. Sure we'll see what the reviews player feedback is after launch.
The Medium, while not that amazing a game, played very much like a dry run for a Silent Hill game. Can't see them going too far wrong with it.

May I ask a question as a non-gamer/someone not overly familiar with this area?
"Santa" bought a PS5 disc console package with FIFA23 earlier this year for my son as a Christmas present. After reading and hearing about stock shortages last Christmas I didn't want to take any chances so bought it early - knowing the FIFA game would be updated etc, but as he has no interest in soccer or FIFA as a game I wasn't too worried about that. My son however is a giant Spider-Man fan and now wants the Spider-Man PS5 Console with the covers, game etc., which I bought for him on release. So now I have 2 x PS5s.......
Can anyone tell me where would be the best place to offload the other console? It's brand new/sealed/hasn't been opened etc. and obviously the game hasn't been opened or downloaded (not sure if you get a disc or a digital download). It cost €699.99 at the time (the Spider-Man bundle was less - very strange considering it had more in the bundle) and while I'm prepared to take a bit of a hit on it, I obviously don't want to lose my shirt on it. Any advice?
I know GAME used to buy them but they're gone now and I'm loathe to out it on adverts as I don't want to be dealing with lowballers and people offering me a swap for a wooly jumper and a snack box..........
Youre going to have a tough time offloading that bundle with FC24 (FIFA24) releasing this month.
I would try to keep it as local as possible. Share it for sale on your personal facebook page and a few local facebook buy and sell groups.
You never know who could message you. A few times Ive ended up selling to people I know and there was no messing. Got a good price too.
Out of interest where did you buy that FIFA23 bundle at that price? Seems very steep unless there was an extra controller with it.

Honestly not 100% sure if there was an extra controller, but that does kinda ring a bell - tbh I haven't looked at it since it was bought. I'll dig it out and list it accordingly. I was aware it would likely be outdated with FIFA24 coming but as he had no interest in same I was more concerned with securing a console and that was the only one available at the time.

Argos, in May just before they closed so can’t return there for obvious reasons! Was a little worried about not being able to get one this Christmas having seen the panic last year so when I saw them available I thought I was being prudent getting one then - lol.
Yep I have it hooked up to a Sonos Arc and some Sonos One SLs and it’s seriously loud now!
Loving the Atmos update it's very good on a proper surround sound system. Lot of use of heights.
My Atmos enabled tv sounds no different 😑

Because you need a 5.1 system or better for it to work properly, and no a sound bar or any 2.1 system won't help either
