I'm always of two minds whether to post under-MUP deals in case someone complains and ruins the deal.
In this case nobody could have complained quickly enough to have it re-priced so most likely they already noticed the error themselves before putting the item on shelves. Some stores may not have, ymmv.
They've sold these 5L mini-kegs for as low as €7.99 in parts of Europe. We are being absolutely shafted.
Three swallows Powers is 32euro in Obriens
time to stock up. I’m down to my last bottle.
After this case, and the other case... 😃
12 heineken 330ml - €13.44(ish) aldi - cheapest post-MUP price i've seen for 12pack bottles
Aldi:
Priced at MUP, valid Sep 11-17
Any boxes beers in SuperValu any way good?
See
estrella
Asahi
Cobra
Tiger
Any of them any good
You would really need to taste them before buying a case.
Best to buy a single bottle of each and decide for yourself.
estrella galicia is the nicest for me, but they are all good.
Estrella the weakest for me of that lot.
Cobra,Tiger and Asahi are lovely.
Went for peroni 5%
Honestly one of the pricier beers mainstream and very much weak taste wise
As I'll admit I'm a whiskey man and I love big flavours
Just thinking the peroni is weak
Dunnes:
valid til the 19th
aldi also have Guinness 8x500 €13.26
It's one of the nicer lagers/pilsners around imo, great on a hot day
I'd say it's subtle, rather than flavourless (Rockshore etc.)
Most of the beers I drink would be IPAs but a change is nice.
pity we get 4.7% version here. It's 5.5% in Spain and tastes better.
Not bad for a tenner in O'Briens.
Estrella is imported from spain so Authentic if you will.
Ashai brewed in italy. Suppose to be jap.
Cobra brewed in uk.
Brancott is 6 for 50 in SuperValu as is oyster bay
Lidl do have the genuine Ashai, Cobra, Tsing Tao, Kingfisher etc in on special if you keep your eyes peeled!
Lidl have a selection of Belgian beers again from Thu 21st
It's the same selection as before. Some very nice beers and 5 of them are close to MUP. The prices of several are actually a little cheaper than May which is nice when everything else is going up.
Black Barrel, €35 in O'Briens.
Thanks, they look a bit of a bargain. Any thoughts on which are particularly nice?
They're all quality beers and they have very strong/distinct flavours.
Leutebok is my least favourite.
Go with the weaker blonde beers (Bornem, Archivist, Kwaremont) if you're not sure what you like.
A few bottles of Piraat and my eyes start closing. It's nice but it's got quite a boozy taste. There's another 10.5% beer in Lidl sometimes called Gulden Draak that's much nicer and doesn't have the strong boozy taste.
Got few bottles of Leutebok in Lidl the weekend it's a lovely beer 7.99 for 4 , got another one few weeks back aswell think it was called Petrus.
I wasn't crazy on Archivist when I got some during the last Lidl offer a few months back. I still have a couple of bottles I'll give it one last try otherwise I'll pick up one other two blonde beers Bornem or Kwaremont
I posted on here a few weeks ago that Lidl were selling a 12 pack of 300ml Bulmers bottles for just €12.79. The same product is now being sold for €25.49 which is nearly double the price for the same amount in the same store! Crazy considering you can buy 20 x 300ml for €25 in rival stores! What are Lidl at I wonder?
Yeah pity they don't have the Gulden Draak this time, it's the nicest one imho.
Gulden Draak is the business and an absolute steal when they do have it in. The Piraat is not a bad one either, they have the "triple hop" version in sometimes, incredible warming smack off that one - good idea to have a couch near by!!
86 beer from SuperValu is as good as most of those beers. Gulden draak is also fantastic..rip liver.
The Crius Blonde was the standout for me. I had tried St Feuillien before and thought it good but it paled in comparison to Crius back-to-back.
They also had a 70cl bottle of belgian blonde 4.5% that wasn't bad. can't remember the price but might pick up again
