Might be way off, but I think the NK stuff is a cover for increasing Chinese involvement.
How do you make this out. Is it because the Chinese will ‘deepen’ its involvement with North K so as to push Russia ‘aside’ . Or tell NK you can only deal with one of us so which is it or what?
China can feed stuff to Russia with NK being the public face of the process.
How does putin’s health look in his meeting with the King of the Hermit Kingdom ? I noticed he was holding his own hand tight…. To stop it from shaking ?
Well if they feed anything other than WWII shte to Russia via Korea it will be very very obviously very quickly. So I would say no it's nothing to do with China.
Hmm....didn't Hitler have that problem near the end?
Jesus, it's very hard not to invoke Godwin with these Russians.
Sounds like Hitler in his 'last' days?
Looks fine tbh
Hitler was out of his mind on amphetamines/coke/crack/heroin… a full selection box of power drugs.
Reports coming in on twitter that Ukrainian forces have successfully sunk both the The Rostov-on-Don submarine and Ropucha-class ship Minsk in Sevastopol naval base.
Ya there's a video of Hitler rocking back and forth like a lunatic out there
Not an issue. They will have a clean and fresh start, trying to retake the position...
I don't hold any stock in the claims that he's suffering from any serious illness, but you can understand he'd be a little shaky after being forced to travel over 9,000 km to meet with the dictator of an impoverished pariah state that's stuck in a 1950s time warp, to beg for military supplies. It's humiliating stuff.
It's great too see it 🤣
His health seems fine though. We've being hearing wishful stories about him on his last legs since day one of this war mostly understandable wishful thinking.
We had a lot of nonsense about Putin's health back in April 2022, every possible diagnosis was floated on this thread, most predicting his imminent demise.
Let's just assume Putin is going to live a while longer and concentrate on helping Ukraine win on the battlefield. If the f*cker dies or becomes incapacitated unexpectedly, all the better.
As they say " Birds of a feather, flock together". So now its Putin, Kim, Assad, Xi and the Ayatollah in Iran....what a bunch of monsters to have alive at the same time. But big bad America is all you hear about.
I'd say that not one of Kims crew were allowed off the train, except for the mechanical team involved in changing the wheel bogeys. Even when the trains were parked during their stay, that station would have been under complete lock down, and the occupants of them locked inside them. No one entered or left those trains or indeed the station.
Any Russian city, town or village that I was ever in ( except the Muslim ones) had many little beer/vodka/cigarettes kiosks on the streets. All doing good business. Loads of alcohol in the Muslim states too, but not on public view. Its something else, to be drinking with Chechen friends in a private house, and the minute a knock comes to the door, all bottle and glasses go under the table immediately, and stay there until the visitor has been identified, after which he is offered a drink, and off we go again!!
Can't post links as I'm at work right now, but reports now indicating that the Minsk, a Ropucha class landing ship, as well as Rostov-on-Don, an improved Kilo class diesel/electric attack submarine, have been completely destroyed by the attack, with two additional ships damaged. It's important to note that the submarine, Rostov-on-Don, had only entered service in 2014 and was one of only a limited number of such submarines configured to launch Kalibr missiles. So, by all accounts, this is a painful loss.
Maybe, but bear in mind that while Xi is theoretically supportive of Putin, its not in Chinese best interests to have a strong resurgent Russia to deal with. They want a living but weak Putin in charge, one that they can deal with. So pending Taiwan, they will use Putin, but afterwards.........
Someone made a list of Putin's most expensive military assets. Which Ukraine is ticking off one by one.
The Ropucha-class landing ship 'Minsk' is a complete write off. Superstructure is Gone
That would be the second Ropucha taken out in the Black Sea fleet this year? After the other one that was hit outside Novorossiysk earlier this summer, if I remember correctly?
Also, satellite images on Twitter show that the nearby fuel farm also took a beating during the attack, which means that the operational capability of the ships based out of Sevastopol has been degraded even further. Combined surface drone and SCALP/Storm Shadow attack apparently.
Drone > warship
Seems deliberate. They are probably trying to destroy the Russia transport ships before they take out the bridge.
The Ukrainians have known from the outset the chief weakness of Russia's ability to prosecute a war - and if they didn't you can be damn sure backroom intelligence from the US pointed this out. "All" they need do is pummel Russian logistics to keep their already thinning resources even more meager.
Its the one thing the Americans have down to a fine art. Logistics. They are the experts on how and when to quickly move equipment across the globe. And which supply routes to strike and how.
Might be an attempt to force the Russians to decide between supplying the peninsula or their southern front. Even if the front lines stabilise in the next few weeks, it would be a bit of a nightmare for Russian logistics. Having storm shadows, GLSDBs and other projectiles (potentially atacms?) lobbed at them throughout the winter.
Then the possibility of a Spring offensive with F16s and what ever equipment that was delayed (Leopards etc.)
These decoys must have saved an awful lot of real equipment at this stage -
They left Kabul so swiftly the US public have already forgotten they were ever there.
The diminishment of Russian naval support sounds like a very logical tactic for the eventual retaking of Crimea. I reckon if or when it's imminent there'll be a scramble for the bridge exit just as there was for Bagram airbase.
