They don't deliver to Ireland anymore though do they? 😔
Oh, i wasn't aware of that, sorry!
Yeah, absolutely heartbreaking. The local community have really rallied around the family in fairness but nothing could ease their pain. I don't know the family personally but would recognise them from just being at that beach so much. These stories alway hurt more the closer you are to a situation.
There seems to have been an awful lot of tragedy lately, with the terrible accidents in Tipperary, and the death of this little girl has only come only a couple of weeks after that young boy drowned in Cork harbour. ☹️
I know, so many young people and so many devastated families.
Found this earlier in the house.
When Quality Street were the real deal. Over 2Kg 😮
My Xmas jumper this year will be worn too **** 😄
Between 'international taxes' and a nice 'customs' bill dis morning they almost cost me more than the item itself
I hope none of ye are snowman!
Just sitting out the back having a beer and thinking my god imagine people in Australia having this weather on Christmas day..I think it would be horrific!!!
Has anyone experienced a Christmas day in proper heat?
Can't think of anything worse either. I am not a fan of this kind of heat anyway. 23 degrees in Jun to Aug is enough for me and that's it! I would never go to a warm country for Christmas. I love the cold and dark and then having the Christmas lights brighten the place up and the food that I can't imagine eating on a day like today! I have to say I would never want to be anywhere but Ireland at Christmas. I know I would get all maudlin and before you know it I'd be like one of these people singing folk songs yearning for beautiful ireland even if I was only gone few days and had my return ticket :-P
That Quality Street tin is the business. That's what I'd like to see these days and the design is so much better too.
Yes. Jamaica last year.
Spent 2 Christmases in Australia when we lived there in the late 80's and it was weird - it rained on the first one but it was incredibly warm and the second one was hot. It is very strange having Christmas in a hot country.
In all the times I've watched this movie I never noticed the family portrait, must look out for it next time I watch it (in about 3 months)
I was a bit premature in my excitement. The section was filled with AlpenFest stuff this morning, probably for Oktoberfest.
This made me laugh 😂😂
That means they should have the pretzel snacks back in again. God they're more addictive than crystal meth
Watching the US version of Shameles, Can't get into it, just not the same
Not overly confident of the new Fraiser reboot either
Tesco
Love those tube of Munchies
They always go back to the old shape too
Spent the day watching rugby. Enjoyed it until the England v Argentina match. Rugby without try scoring is really boring. The token try Argentina just scored wasn't enough to save the match.
Morrisons here in Yeadon put out their Christmas chocolate displays at the start of this week. (And first week back in school and I've been e-mailed suggestions [and links to menus] for this year's science/mathematics hell-fest. I do like Christmas, but please - not now, not bloody now! And not when its 30C!!
Agree. Easily the least entertaining game so far.
The online M&S Christmas shop is now live.
It's Christmas all year round here Duke.
You're in the wrong forum I think
Yeah I'd hate Christmas in the heat but I imagine all those down that part of the world are so used to 'Summer Christmas' and would probably look at us in disagreement at our 'Winter Christmas'
One thing I dislike about January/February is the turning of the weather and those lucky sobs going into Autumn/Winter
Now the weather seems to be starting to turn back a bit I can get back into the Christmas spirit! It's still very warm though. Just looking at freshpopcorn's pics - as I've gotten older I've really started to appreciate the shower gel/deodorant gift sets! Basically anything consumable is great because god knows I've gathered enough tat and clutter over the years so edibles and sprays are the way for me rather than more clutter. I tend to only buy boring old soap all year so usually end up with lovely scented shower gels and stuff at Christmas. When you see those sets you know Christmas is on the way. I need to make my Christmas gift lists for the nephews now and the parents. I also need to buy something like maybe the chocolate Santa's or the kit kat santas or the malteasers ones to put one each on my coworkers desks so I'm going to keep an eye on what ones to buy this year. I think it's a nice surprise when they come in on one random morning and one has been left on everyone's desks. I've never totally confirmed it's me that does it but they know ;-) I just say it was an elf!
that's a really nice thing to do for your co-workers @A cup of te and I agree with you that consumables are one of the best gifts to give. The last few years I have given (and received) lots of restaurant vouchers and it's great to go and enjoy a meal with friends/family.
I'm actually glad to see it alot cooler and rain.
