It is made by BYD aka Build Your Dreams. Hope it comes here and that they change the name before it does,
This could really challenge the Tesla Model 3.
It looks great inside and out
Derek, ring the dealer and not the press department of BYD as they’ll tell you what you want to here, like the price release statement!
Seeing a lot of discrepancy on the pricing, has it been finalised yet? Obviously grant dependant etc. but any word what the total price would for the end consumer with everything accounted for.
Wonder when test drives and delivery will begin as it's tempting.
What I posted already is the OTR price.
AWD €51,787
Design €4K less
That's great, thanks for clarifying. If you don't mind me asking, where did you get the info from? It just wasn't clear from various media outlets what their pricing included.
From the actual dealer taking the order.
Navan Road.
Call Jordan on +353 87 391 6484
Tell him Keith in the model 3 passed it on.
Im just waiting on test drive now n
I got a price of €46,030 for the design from the same dealer, a different sales person though.
Yeah that's what I had seen reported on various sites, very interested at that money, good luck 👍
Delivery charges 1950 euro
Comfort. 47030 minus 2963 vrt
Design 50025 minus 2489 vrt
Excellence. 54025 minus 689 vrt
Quote I got also came by email from a dealer on Tuesday . Hopefully the 689 vrt quoted for the excellence was a typo and should have been 2689. The 1950 delivery charge was extra to the price as far as I could see. No info yet on feature comparisons or colour choice etc. No doubt it will be an extra 700 euro or more for a decent colour
Those prices must be without grant, that's the only way they add up.
You could be right once delivery charges not taken into account. 54025 -689 = 53336
Not sure what 689 represents
Take 3500 grant from that and you get 49836
Now add 1950 delivery charge and you get 51786 which matches gumbo's quote
Or are me maths all wrong 😖
Puts design at 45986
That's what I was thinking myself, it's the only way I can get it close to what I was quoted. The €689 is the VRT rebate, it gets lower the more expensive the car is, which is why it's biggest on the comfort.
Buttros had the right prices on Tuesday without delivery charges
Seems off that there would be such a huge difference in VRT rebate when the price of car is changing by only €3-4k leading to a difference of €2k in rebate??
ultimately the price is what the consumer pays. So it’s a tad disingenuous to list the price before compulsory costs
There is a threshold at €50k.
EDIT: John arse got there before me.
€51,786 for the Excellence OTR from BYD Navan road.
€46,030 for the Design from same dealer.
They stated the comfort most likely won’t come to Ireland. Same as Atto3.
Some latest info
I'd love to know the price of a car without having to do an equation.
Certainly living up to your username there 😂😂
It’s very simple really. All you have to do is the read the posts above your post. It’s that easy.
When are you test driving one,any timeframe?
Nothing definite yet.
Dealer is awaiting delivery and will get the call. He’s hoping 4/5 weeks.
👍👍👍
Nicest EV I have seen in ages, apart from Taycan and etron. Really like the look of this e.v.
Was thinking about buying another etron for family member but will definitely look at this.
Brand would be the only negative thing though, so not sure.
Lovely looking car - this interests me more than any other EV that isn't ridiculously priced. Can't wait to see it in person and hopefully drive
Here’s one for the BYD owners, data allowance is only free for 2 years. Anyone get a price to continue it afterwards?
I agree. For under €50,000 it looks good in every way. Design, performance, etc.
It's android, presume you can either hotspot to your phone for data or replace the sim card with a local one for monthly billing. It the Atto 3 its just behind plastic panel at centre console.
Just heard back from BYD Ireland that both the Design Trim (RWD) and Excellence Trim (AWD) will have lumbar support. I assume the entry-level trim Comfort (RWD) will not. To be confirmed.
Yeah, but it's sickening that the car starts at 25k euro in China.
