Not a good look. I wonder did he go because this was going to come to light?

Tubs photographed with Piers Morgan and now Chris Evans. He's like a guy whose missus left him and kicked him out of the house, and now he's desperately trying to show her he's moved on by putting some photos on Facebook of himself with some very attractive ladies, except the ladies are really escorts. NK cashing in some favours or bunging some cash to the right people. It stinks of desperation. He's with his tribe though: overpaid and under-talented twats that seemingly hang around forever like the bad smells that they are.
Surely it's obvious at this stage that guy is a WUM? Why do people keep responding to him as if he 'means it maaan' when that's what all such posters want?
You say that like it's a bad thing. Why would the UK papers be covering his trip, even if he was known over there? Thousands of very well known people travel in and out of London every day without media comment.
As it stands, he's getting exposure to a UK audience from high profile broadcasters like Morgan, Evans etc, and none of the negative publicity of what happened over the summer is being mentioned. That can only be regarded as a win for Tubridy.
Tubs wouldn't be able to understand the callers.
Perfect timing for Ryan
Multimillionaire boasting about his free gifts to another multimillionaire.
Man of the people alright.
Noel will have the interns locked away in a room pressing “play” on the podcast on as many devices as possible 24/7.
Still got the magic.
He's back baby!
Tubs is the most known in all this, but there are others probably creaming it off the taxpayers but remain largely unknown in the same way most remember Sean Fitzpatrick and Fingleton, but can't recall any other bailed out names from the other larger bigger banks.
I can see the game plan here. RT does a weekly podcast interviewing interesting people, this attracts tens of thousands of listens and after a year or so, this will convince his higher up buddies in RTE that his penance with the public is complete.
The key metric though is the amount of listens the podcast gets.
The truth hurts... the public at large have watched aghast the wanton waste of licence money in RTE and the over inflated payments to and ego of your hero. Times up, the party is over and so is Tubridys career on RTE and likely too in all Irish broadcast media. Let him figure out how to turn a penny and get real customers.
I get the feeling that rather than be invited by these people Tubridy is just turning up at their place of work and taking selfies, prob. text them he’s downstairs when a clueless receptionist doesn’t recognize him and says he can’t come in without an appointment. He must be trying to fit as many as he can into a 3-4 day trip.
it’s all very calculated (and desperate). Not once before when he was on many of his RTÉ/taxpayer-funded London trips did he post a picture to social media of him meeting anyone in the public eye. Intriguing.
RTE down 21million indeed.
Restoring Tubridy would arguably jack it up to 42 million.
Taxpayers have seen on all fronts, front of house and so called management that they have been ridden bareback by this lot in Montrose.
I can assure you the blood letting still has a long way to go, my friend.
The viewers have seen and heard enough, they won't be butt reamed by these liggers for too much longer.
Ironically a Jeremy Kyle style show is one area where he could actually make a comeback as it doesn't require human empathy, just someone to introduce the fighters, sorry I mean guests. All he has to do is read from cue cards about who shagged whose sister first and then just make sure there's a bouncer nearby.
Only downside is he'd only get a couple of seasons before everyone starts recognising the usual suspects. I believe the JK show researchers used to find guests by hanging around shopping centres in Manchester.
Cue the Clarkson GIF. :)

"he might never come back"
Just imagine.
Neither of them look well
I listen to a lot of podcasts but they are as you infer rather niche. Some draw large audiences, others don’t….it’s relative. There’s a few basketball and movie podcasts I listen to that are American-based and hosted that have large audiences, but even successful niche podcasts (I listen to Dunphy’s pod work for example) this side of the world have small audiences.
That said some local podcasts that are successful are very low on the IQ factor, so I suppose Tubs’ frivolous content would be at home there. Could Tubs compete with Joanne and Vogue on the Prosecco Express? Or keep her lit like The 2 Johnnies?
NK I believe “owns”/runs Garrihy’s podcast, and I believe there’s one from Matt Cooper and Ivan Yates (together) on the way (apologies if it’s already started), so you can see that 10 years after they became mainstream NK is trying to get into this space….with ownership it seems.
No one could stop RT from going kamikaze on his own sweet gig.
he spat the dummy out.
The most hilarious part about all of it is Ryan’s hypocrisy on the man. He’d probably take a selfie with Jeremy Kyle at the moment to try and keep himself in the headlines.
There’s a depth to Tubridy’s shallowness.
Things rapidly going pear-shaped for RTE.
Wonder can they recover some of the money wasted on that Toy Show musical from the clowns responsible for it?
Commitment to excellence?
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Whats even more hilarious is you think the protest bon-payment is a mark of support for Tubridy when it is nothing of the sort. It is a protest non-payment because of waste and extravagant payments in exchange for mediocrity. If you think non-payment is bad now, it will become rampant were they to reinstate him,
0/10
RTE down €21 million and they don’t want the country’s top broadcaster. Okay, a lot of you don’t like Ryan, but you’ve got to see this is kamikaze stuff.
Restoring Ryan would give some confidence to viewers and show a commitment to excellence. If he ends up presenting in the UK it will be catastrophic for RTE, he might never come back.
..
In fairness if one of those returning his calls is Piers 'the new Larry King' Morgan, that's not nothing. And not just that but meeting up with him and tweeting about it. You wouldn't think it's a massive leap from that to pulling a few strings to get him a gig on TalkTV or anywhere else he has some pull.
Minister outlines that RTE are set to lose €21 Million are the current rate of non renewal. On the same headlines page from the Examiner there's a RT story about his interviews.
I really don't care what happens to RT, I was never personally invested as I stopped paying for a TV license when we gave up the TV nearly two decades ago. I only see TV now as we took in an elderly relative of the generation whose favorite program is Murder She Wrote, no matter how many times it's repeated. But that was probably RTs principle audience.
If he manages to find a new sustainable gig then fair fooks to him, but considering he is very much is an RTE creation I sincerely doubt he has the ability to restart without the safety nets he is used to.
I’ve been promising myself for years now to listen to more podcasts as I love live radio probably more so than TV but just not getting the chance to do so- but if I ever do get my act together it certainly won’t be Ryan Tubridy I’ll be searching for- even regular podcast listeners I’m sure only have a limited amount of time they can spend listening so are very discerning on who they listen to
Would you go out of your way to hear those interviews?
no
