Not a good look. I wonder did he go because this was going to come to light?

I have to say you have been missed. The thread can only get more interesting now.
Thanks, I will do my best to stay interesting.
Can't believe he is associating with Piers Morgan!
Nothing with Tubs would surprise me.
Ask and you shall receive…….proof in this case of the above. Apparently in his book review Instagram post below
he describes the pictured book as “delicious”. Thank you to the poster who PM’ed me to let me know of this.
A delicious book no less. I guess you could throw it in the delicious fire upon completion? Or maybe it’s the throwing of the delicious book into the fire that makes the fire delicious, who knows? Intriguing! And bonkers.
He is using words from his limited descriptive vocabulary that you mentioned on here. I wonder if he will be able to add new words to his vocabulary lexicon.
Well I gave him ultracrepidarian today if he’s reading…..and for free too.
Maybe I could be a regular guest on the BIG podcast, doing a “word of the week” segment? I am available for an enormous fee, and it won’t affect my soul. Renault could even sponsor the segment.
Desperate times call for desperate measures.
His association with Piers Morgan will trouble the do gooder section which liked Tubridy.
It is very off-brand. Tubs has uttered his disdain for Morgan aloud many times, but particularly for his comments about Tubs’ VVVVVBFWHOAMOBACPHOOAL (very very very very best friend who he only actually met once briefly and couldn’t pick him out of a lineup) Meghan Markle. I bet the notorious leg-breaker who is famed for standing up to tough guys and bullies on the pier in Dun Loaghaire, took this opportunity to tell Piers Morgan how much he disliked his style, his comments about Markle (and others), and his general abrasive interviewing style…..He did in his h*le. He was there to grovel and lick arse, and I bet he was better at it there than in his “don’t you know who I am?” PAC appearances.
Ireland's biggest TV star!!!!!!!!!!!! WTF? Paper never refused ink.
How long do you think it will be before RT gets dropped by NKM?
A "delicious" quote I found from Tubs in 2021 regarding how people might in future perceive him!
"Obviously I love to name drop the fact that I met [Meghan] in Washington once upon a time for between about 90 seconds and two minutes for a chat as she was introduced," he said.
"All I'll tell you from that brief engagement with her, well she was very charming and very pleasant and very warm.
"But that's it, you probably need a bit more time with somebody to get the measure of them and the same could be said of me, I have no doubt."
Everything with Tubridy is bigly....he's about to launch the BIG podcast after all.
My point on RTE not showing the world championships was why not...did the tender and were outbid...Virgin were basically buying the generic international coverage...the query was ore on the use of the budget and the importance they put on events...how are a non licence fee funded competitor able to outbid for international sporting events..
I'd say they bonded over their mutual loathing of Joe Brolly...
AFAIK VMTV's owners, Liberty Global, bought the rights through EuroSport????
In fairness to RTÉ Sport they provide coverage the week before they provided live coverage the National Athletics Championship.
Tubs' high-profile visit to the UK is covered in....from a quick glance at the online editions of all the major UK papers........0 of them. The only people who recognise Tubridy in London are Irish people. He's a complete unknown there.
Pictured also with SuperVet Noel - one of his former guests on TLLS.
I reckon he might be already recording some of his podcasts - so far in the last week or so he’s been pictured with Noel, Piers and someone else I can’t remember -all former guests - so reckon this is part of his guest list for his podcasts
Given the way nicknames are applied in the UK, he won't be called Toyman. More likely, if they even recognise him, he'll be called Tubby. :)
Regards...jmcc
Good point.
Just a guess really- obviously I don’t know but was just thinking out loud why all these random photos?
He’s basically doing a milk round so, calling to as many former guests as will return his calls. And if they’re not Irish, even better; as then they’ll likely not have heard of the recent “unpleasantness”.
Maybe he should do a podcast with Fr. A Peter McVerry, or perhaps a leader in child advocacy where he can talk about how childhood poverty haunts him……….whilst he sought more for himself at the expense ultimately of others.

Would you go out of your way to hear those interviews?
no
I’ve been promising myself for years now to listen to more podcasts as I love live radio probably more so than TV but just not getting the chance to do so- but if I ever do get my act together it certainly won’t be Ryan Tubridy I’ll be searching for- even regular podcast listeners I’m sure only have a limited amount of time they can spend listening so are very discerning on who they listen to
Minister outlines that RTE are set to lose €21 Million are the current rate of non renewal. On the same headlines page from the Examiner there's a RT story about his interviews.
I really don't care what happens to RT, I was never personally invested as I stopped paying for a TV license when we gave up the TV nearly two decades ago. I only see TV now as we took in an elderly relative of the generation whose favorite program is Murder She Wrote, no matter how many times it's repeated. But that was probably RTs principle audience.
If he manages to find a new sustainable gig then fair fooks to him, but considering he is very much is an RTE creation I sincerely doubt he has the ability to restart without the safety nets he is used to.
In fairness if one of those returning his calls is Piers 'the new Larry King' Morgan, that's not nothing. And not just that but meeting up with him and tweeting about it. You wouldn't think it's a massive leap from that to pulling a few strings to get him a gig on TalkTV or anywhere else he has some pull.
..
RTE down €21 million and they don’t want the country’s top broadcaster. Okay, a lot of you don’t like Ryan, but you’ve got to see this is kamikaze stuff.
Restoring Ryan would give some confidence to viewers and show a commitment to excellence. If he ends up presenting in the UK it will be catastrophic for RTE, he might never come back.
