It is made by BYD aka Build Your Dreams. Hope it comes here and that they change the name before it does,
This could really challenge the Tesla Model 3.
It looks great inside and out
I think it will be good news. Was supposed to have prices today but no show. Hopefully this week.
Why?
You’re free to give your opinion. I have mine.
I also posted to compare against the Atto3 price.
Whats your opinion on what the price will be?
Hopefully I’m wrong but 10-15% could be a more realistic figure.
Our €41k is after the grant.
€44,449 official price.
Are there any grants in Germany?
Yeah I was comparing model 3 price there over the weekend but German Tesla page shows the Highland so,,,,,also like you compared atto 3 price but with grants probably hit and miss. Was interested in a Highland or seal for 2024,not gone on the new M3- very interested in the seal now. What do you reckon on price???
Prices this week then Derek, what do you reckon???
That says that those are the European prices, would that suggest they are the pre grant prices? I can't see them being that low myself but if they were, I think they'd sell very well.
EDIT:
If the above is anything to go by it'll be a little more than the prices in the article, which would put the AWD version around the same price as a Model 3 Performance.
And don't forget the €1000-2000 the dealer will add on for delivery and charges.
Was in looking to update my MG ZS EV, bought it last year for €36.5k. They are now charging €42.5. And they removed the sunroof!!. MG will give me €35k for it but it's a €7.5k jump for one year.
So keeping a close eye on BYD at the moment. Was very tempted by the atto already.
I’m very interested in seeing the excellence trim and comparing it to the M3P. It should be a very valid competitor to each other.
Only thing is the 150kw Charing speed is kinda low for such a new car nowadays.
Bit of a complex set up but yes. €6750 or €4500 depending on the price of the car, but those figures are split between the buyer and dealer.
Prices....
40,567 for the smaller battery (61kWh)
44,036 for the RWD (82kWh battery)
49,836 for the AWD
Not too bad. Presume they would be better than whatever offer Tesla would give on a trade in. For people that don't want to sell privately might be worth taking into account.
They are not better on trade In unfortunately. It’s MSL doing th trade in and when I was there they entered it into the online tool and it was AutoCar that came back with the price. So no different.
Prices seem reasonable if that’s them.
Matches the Model 3 RWD in base trim 61 kWh version.
The AWD at €50k is cheaper than the M3P, if that’s the excellence version then that’s an interesting car 🏎️
That's a pity....
Curious as how the real world range is on the RWD (82 kWh) one. Would hope its close to the LR Model 3.
I'd assume those prices will get legs once you spec out a different colour and the dealers add a bit.
Not wildly different from what I was expecting though.
The dealer sent me the below prices, looks like the RWD is dearer or am I reading them wrong?
Comfort €49,025
Design €52,020
Excellence AWD €51,800
I see the press release announcing lower prices. Obviously they’ve forgot to add on MSL “dealer fee”!
Dealer is way off there on the Comfort trim I think, it's a smaller battery
Why don’t any of the prices line up with your Facebook or press posts?
Yeah, the dealer just got back to me and the design is €46,030, didn't give me price for comfort but said it'll be 2024 before it arrives.
€51,786 for the AWD.
Comfort most likely not coming to Ireland.
Design and Excellence spec only.
What's Autocar? Is it like one of the crowds that "buy any cars" that low ball everyone. Or is it some system dealers use to gauge second hand prices.
Yes. I actually think it’s autobuy, apologies. Anyone can go online and get a price, VW actually used it in front of me a few months back and then had the cheek to quote me lower obviously taking the balance themselves!
But BYD will pick and choose what cars they want to quote in house and if not they will send it to the trade and come back with the highest price. They say they don’t take a cut but no I’ve way of proving that.
That crowd. I put mine into Autobuy a few weeks back. Keep in mind it is a 1 year old car that retails at €42,500. Autobuy came back with an offer of between 17-19k. At least Tesla offered me 22k.
Unless you are on the run and need to leave the country with a few euro I can't see how they get any cars.
That's a shame about BYD going that route. Makes it very hard to trade up.
For the pricing is the AWD the high powered dual motor version in the max spec? That version would be something I'd seriously consider maybe in 3 years time once it depreciates a bit!
The excellence is the AWD, 530bhp version yes. 0-60 in 3.8 seconds, hence the badge on the back “3.8S”.
Dealer charges and delivery added on top I assume?
Delivery charges 1950 euro
Comfort. 47030 minus 2963 vrt
Design 50025 minus 2489 vrt
Excellence. 54025 minus 689 vrt
Or so I believe
Comfort not coming to Ireland.
excellence is €51,787 on the road.
Design is €4k less.
Hi Derek, UK websites are saying that there is no lumbar support on the RWD Design model and that it's only available on the AWD Excellence car.
Would you know if the RWD Design car in Ireland will have lumbar please?
(With a back issue I need lumbar and I don't want the AWD car's stiffer springs and fidgety dampers on rough roads)
Thanks, Tom
Let me check for you Tom and come back.
