Well in the context of current affairs a warming climate is associated with climategeddon, so I figured my third option covered this option.

Valentia doing a 5th September 1991 on it maybe! Though often when that station rises early in temps a sea breeze kicks in, unlike the inland stations.

Glorious in Galway. I do love an Indian summer. The moon and high tides have been amazing over the past few days.
Not meaning to be critical but I think an Indian Summer is more after the 21st September. Or the first frost.
I remember John Eagleton giving the definition during warm weather in early September 1999. Again don't mean to be nitpicky. Whatever it is it's great!!

Yes an Indian summer is a warm spell after the first frosts, so would be more so the month of October then September. But most people think of an Indian summer as a warm spell in September.
Glorious weather in the SE all weekend and today. Now if the humidity at night could give it a break so I can get my pavers sealed before it breaks I'd be very happy! This morning they were almost as wet as if it had rained on them, and my shaded west facing lawn can't dry out enough for a good cut either. Still, I'll take what we're getting!
23c in Sligo now. At 11am it was 16c. Quick jump!
Days of 17-20c around mid October. Once the sun sets at 6.40pm ish the fog rolls in. Nights around 7c and fog slowly burning off with lovely calm sunny days from 11am to 5pm are my traditional Indian Summer. Around the middle of the day you can feel it's summer but the shortness of the day and the sun angle of 25 degrees tell you otherwise. If you're at a match it's best be on the terrace if the stand is in the shade.

Wonder will these records fall this month. Britain doubtful but France maybe. Definitely location records will be broken in France.
I'd say it will be tough on the rugby players for the first week or so in France at the world cup.
It's not really much of a prediction but by 2040 one of these early warm September events will bring a day over 30C in Ireland. Considering we reached 29.1C in Clongowes in 1906.
And Clongowes reaching 25.2C on 3rd October 1908 is some record. Maybe there was something funny with that station.. Though 30 September 1997 reached 24C in Kilkenny, so 24C is doable in October.
24C now at Dunshaughlin which is joint warmest day of the year at my location. 27C currently in Valentia Kerry.

Very warm in Tralee, the town is quiet. Certainly feels in the mid 20's, getting to that age where I had to loosen my shoes at work due to my feet swelling in the heat 😅😅 . Looking forward to getting on the shorts and sandals after dipping the feet into cool water when I get home later.
The paddling pool hasn't been used since June. It will be today. Very warm.
Also they can't give out to us for wasting water after July and August.

The light easterly breeze (on east coast) feels warm and balmy unlike the icy one back in June.
I wouldn’t be surprised if the 29.1c 1906 record goes this week, I think the wind is turning southerly this week so maybe the Phoenix Park could hit the magic 30!
This is fabulous, sitting outside in the pergola have lunch with the little one. As Elmer said, even the East breeze is warm this time.

Just one query sryan. Did December 2015, remember that really wet month, not have a 16c min somewhere, Malin Head even on a southerly? I'm not definite but it sticks in my head.
