When you do get your licence then maybe you can offer some advice. Thanks.
Two car EV household soon to be three, have driven an EV for over ten years. Thanks indeed.
what’s that got to do with your BS posts constantly spouting the same crap?
Some of us have EV’s longer. Means nothing at all.
Im all on for varied opinions but posting the same crap everyday gets tiresome from someone that “has” EV’s 👀
Why does it bother you so much……perhaps take your own “advice” and get a hobby yourself as it may limit yourself and your own abilities in the future.
When people post BS and crap, it’s not fair on others that might think you’re posting from experience when in fact you don’t have any experience in the topic you are posting or answering.
And also the same reason why you care about that other posters opinion on what a “bog hopper” is. Why should that bother you?
How do you know I have no experience, owned lots of different EV’s including Tesla.
Why do you drive EV’s as they are all fuelled from fossil fuel anyway?
You know what they say about making assumptions……
So you can only post about something if you currently own one……
A high percentage of electricity is……Because I am interested in new technologies. I don’t pretend to be green…
Look at your posts to learn why. Thanks.
Because your posts have no valid reasoning behind them.
All one liners.
still and ugly car.
cheap car.
build quality this, that.
No constructive posts.
Hallmark of a troll.
Look at your own…..
Look at your own ….
Takes one and all that….
Point proved.
Nothing proved, stop trolling me.
Marty your posts are nonsense and unhelpful to be fair. Coming across as a spoofer to be honest
Deleted, can’t be bothered.
Can both of you carry on this conversation elsewhere. It is off topic.
Sorry to interrupt the "he said she said" tripe, but some ID3 stuff.
Did my first long journey in ours the other day, and it was a good experience. Used the ABRP (premium) app and it was fierce handy. Was almost exact as regards percentages of battery when arriving at chargepoints/destinations. I like the little symbol in the corner that tells you how many chargers are available and if occupied. One charger didn't work for me though, even though it wasn't broken. The helpline couldn't figure it out, so had a nervy-ish, avoiding the motorway, drive to Ionity in Cashel. Those chargers are very impressive, and it wasn't long before I was back on the road and home again.
One thing I noticed though are the volume and heater buttons on the infotainment console don't illuminate at night. Surely that's not right is it?
Overall delighted with the car though. The We Charge card is fierce handy.
Good to hear, mine is coming up on two years. Did a Galway -> Dublin - Limerick -> Galway trip, basically one charge in Monasterevin did me. Very impressive ESB station I found. Apart from the, haha fooled you this one is half chadmo station - they should be colored or something.
Remember driving last year and used to see 410+km on the range at 100%, this year never saw past 390 - a combination of driving motorway/and weather I think (58Kwhr).
The motorway infastructure is kinda joke regarding EV charging at the moment apart from the odd few. Literally one Applegreen charger at Enfield eastbound - out of order. IMO need a min of 10 chargers all 150 and spaces for 10 more waiting to queue in a system that makes sense, and pay by card not behind some bespoke app that is ever so slightly different to the other apps.
Nope, the controls are indeed not illuminated at night - same in ID4, ID5 etc, even Golf? I like to think that - surely - it was an oversight and not an actual cost saving decision?
Born is the same, it could be annoying in winter, I'll see. I think it was an oversight.
I really don't get this....
Use the icon on screen for the heater and the steering wheel buttons for the volume simples ,yould need two hands to use the stupid sliders anyway one to deploy the finger and the other to hold that hand in place 🤣🤣🤣
P.s. Why play with the heater anyway ?
Set temp "X" turn on auto....done
P.P.S.
Doing away with the ID LIGHT,now that's frighin' penny pinching.....
But why have the buttons in the first place? I'm assuming they don't intend them to be used during daylight hours?!
If they're there to be used, backlight them like the "mode" etc. buttons beneath them.
I just tap plus or minus sliding would be painful. I hate that click click the steering wheel volume button makes, it's like a phone keypad tap... There's probably a way to turn it off.
With VW, deffo a cost cutting exercise. Between that and the removal of the rear window switches. All the pennies ads up unfortunately.
There’s no way a designer at VW, one of the biggest car manufacturers in the world missed this.
