M3 order question...if I placed an order now when can I actually expect collection? based on people's previous orders.
Previous orders are less relevant in terms of prediction. Depending on variant if ordered now you could get offered a car within weeks, especially if selected from Inventory and there is currently great value with discounts of 1500 available (not showing on website)
Do you get a type 2 to type 2 charge lead with a new Tesla as well as the std mobile connector?
I have free charging at work with type 2 charging points but these are not tethered so I’m wondering if I need to buy a type 2 to type 2 cable. Thanks!
Would ideally need before end of September so that would work brilliantly if it was a matter of weeks. Looking at the standard entry level RWD Model 3 in white (as basic as I can get it!).

I wouldn't worry about it being basic and the white imo really suits the car. Also paint quality seems excellent, not a chip yet in 18 months touch wood..🙂
I am rural and the only other model 3 I see are black and red, but I am sure in some areas white would be very popular. (Note I didn't say common)😁
IIRC the white and red colours are the only ones that are "multi coat" on the website. I think that means that they get an extra pearl coat which usually costs extra on other manufacturers.

Glad I took a look at this thread again! I had no clue on the €1,500 discount, I was trying to hold out for Highland but in need of a car asap.
I collected a LFP RWD M3 in late '21 but unfortunately had a fairly severe collision last month on the roads (rest easy all, your new M3 is built like a tank and the inbuilt dash cam is a godsend!) thinking of picking up a LR M3 as the replacement - the discount helps
Am collecting tomorrow (woohoo) and got the text today giving me my reg and asking me to register for motor tax, but when I try my reg on the motor tax website as instructed it says it can't find my car.
This happen to anyone else? Do I just need to wait for my reg to appear on their system?
Should be there by morning, takes a little while to show up.

Well wear to all collecting! I'm due for Friday and am looking forward to it but the procees has been a nightmare.
One aspect of this - Long story short: because I had the audacity to cancel my Axa insurance policy after selling my last car while waiting for this, my policy for new car has gone up 25%. I've shopped around which has been difficult without the reg (which I have today) because I'm getting a M3 LR RWD, which of course doesn't exist.
Can anyone recommend a decent insurance company that I can get reasonably priced insurance from tomorrow? Thanks for any advice..
Try 123.ie. If you cant find the Model from drop down menu consider selecting MR LR and proceed. Then call them and let them know the new variant (lower power lower value) and my instinct would be that all is OK. This Model is not generally available for sale in Ireland and can only be secured through current Inventory. Good luck with collection.

Anybody have any idea on what shipments due into Ireland are looking like? Nearing the end of the quarter and getting antsy for a delivery update. I've recently removed the enhanced auto pilot in the hopes that it will help improve my chances of getting matched to a MYP - dying to get it at this point!

Model 3 updated to Highland in most European countries. Not updated in the Irish store yet though.

CarWow are saying that the UK version won’t be available until next year. I suspect that Ireland is the same as the UK. My guess is that it’s right hand drive only for the moment. Disappointed, I was waiting to order this ☹️.

Initial reports are a 12% price increase in China.
I hope we see further inventory discounts like they got in the US to shift the old model. They'll have quite a few people cancelling existing orders once they see the new model has launched. Hopefully we'll see the new model land here in January.
On the flip side we may see people rushing to order a car that still has proper indicators
I really really like the new refreshed model 3, it's a shame I need a car immediately and can't wait around. I'll be going for a long range from inventory - hopeful of anothr price cut coming as per the post above!

It's tough enough getting the kids away from the screens to get into the car... How the heck will I then get them OUT of the car?! 😂😂
