The king is dead, long live the king.
Only 102 days to lights out for 2023..
Both drivers have reason to feel lucky they're still in F1. Therefore it's probably easy for Gunther to bargain them down when negotiating salary.
Suck my balls mate.
Suck my balls, honey. Great putdown
Abbi Pulling telling Alice Powell there's a "ton of rain" coming.
Even in the most chaotic of races Max wins again, bar him getting cannonballed by another driver its really hard to see him not winning every race from here on out.
At this point, as much as I'm not a gambler, I'd have a go at a Max dnf before end of season, not for anything other than getting punted, wonder what the odds would be if I selected Perez to be the shunter..... So outside, such a dominant season jaysis
It was great to see Gasly on the podium in Zandvoort.
Yeah, always good to see someone outside of the usual suspects up there. That said, Alonso seemed pretty damn happy too!
So Ferrari have new race suits for Monza this weekend.
Anyone for a Big Mac and fries? 😜
Liam Lawson confirmed to race in Monza.
Today's Air Traffic Control problems might have upset some teams preparations for Monza.
Sounds like he is in until Ricciardo is fit, and that could be a while. Granted, F1 drivers are different and have access to a lot of medical tech to help the healing.
Actually I think they are after signing for Watford
Just for perspective on this, Marc Marquez broke the same bone as Ricciardo, went to the same surgeon and was on a MotoGP bike 10 days later.
Can someone setup a race thread for Monza? Grazie Mille.
Maybe so but those guys are mental. The injuries they race with wouldn't fly in F1.
Such a shame for Ricciardo. He (and we) needs a run of races to establish his form. Whatever you think about Ricciardo, I think everyone wants him to refind his form. This injury doesn't help.
Fully agree, anyone who sits on a motorbike that has the nearly 300hp isn't a "normal" human.
Granted, I think F1 drivers are just as mental when it comes to it, and I think it show that a comeback can be done rather quickly if things go well. I'd say it is an outside bet for a return at Singapore.
Ever watch the Guy Martin special with Red Bull F1?
He was supposed to drive the F1 car but couldn't in the end because he had a wrist injury at the time. Flat out on the superbike was no problem to him though, no where near as tough on the arms.
So both Lewis and George have been resigned until the end of 2025.
Next generation of F2 car was announced
Did Netflix happen to spot Russell getting told by Toto at the back of the garage again?
Toto told a kid on German TV and the kid just blurted it out...I am not joking.
Fair play. They have 2 decent drivers so I'd say they're all happy. Hopefully Mercedes can catch up with RB next season. The Mercedes lads are pretty evenly matched so 3 way championship battle should be class. It could get extra spicy with 2 teammates involved.
Mercedes, Ferrari and McLaren the 3 teams with great drivers in both seats. The other teams can't really say the same.
That flatters Piastri a bit but i suspect that by this time next year he'll have proved you right. He's done really well for a rookie. Great trajectory.
Sainz is a bit accident prone too.
On the whole though, I completely agree. They have the best driver lineups by a long way.
If you have an hour, this is a brilliant and candid chat with Alonso.
True but Redbull really could have anyone they wished in car no 2 so you can't really say they have issues with driver line up.
That and Perez actually has more wins than Leclerc. Not that he is a better driver than Charles, but he does a good job for Red Bull and has gotten the wins that Max hasn't this season.
Perez also about to enter the top 10 for all time race starts and will be 9th on that list before the season ends. That doesn't happen because you are average.
To be fair there is only 121 points and 7 podiums between them
What did I miss here chaps? I don't watch Netflix at all these days. Toto spilling the beans before he's supposed to?
@PsychoPete - that new F2 car looks great actually! Reading the article on the-race sounds like they're making changes to how it drives to make it a little bit more accessible for female drivers to handle it, that's no bad thing I guess. So Stroll is ever so slightly closer to Alonso than Sergio is to Max - both second drivers are having a sub-par season when you look at the car they have - Stroll more so imo.
