I read that "c.3 acres" as circa 3 acres. Which should be plenty for a local person or developer to get planning on.
I did a crude measure on this plot which would make it the 3 acres but I'm open to correction.
About 3.7 acres according to Landregistry.ie;
About a doz.caravans thrown in by the looks of it!
Yes, that makes sense, my mistake, I read it as .3 and took it that it was a section of the site. 1.5 hectares (Land Direct) is actually 3.7 acres so an EA has actually under stated a site size.
Not really Circa 3 (about 3) is abbreviated to c.3
The paintings that are in the house must come with it and must be worth a fortune. A large site but crazy money.
The guy that used to live in the house passed away a while back. He bought and sold mobile homes. The site is cleared now.
Always surprises me when places like this sell when someone is keeping all the surrounding fields. I know it makes it cheaper to buy but the space is the attraction of these properties.

Damp, and cold. BER exempt. Did I say damp? And cold?
I’m under no illusions 😆
Gah hahahaha I give you that 😂
I'm one of those weirdos that likes my house cold! I love a cold bedroom in particular. Not freezing icicles, but more cooler then warm!
ber ratings don't bother me at all, I don't even look at them, not part of my list of necessity
You’re more of a Brrrrrr than a BER girl so
Was she a impotent?
Nothing special here.
Don't think that green and brown look well together. Outside also needs a spruce up.
wonder why this is so cheap, looks in fairly good condition, must be something wrong.......
Picture of the courtyard seems to indicate that this address only has a sliver of said courtyard at its disposal. The two adjacent buildings may be sharing in good faith, but it still would be a devalued asset in reselling (?)
There's always a few with low AMV thrown into auctions in order to draw the crowds. I was at an auction where a house went for 3x the AMV
Last photo of the courtyard where the house joins with the neighbours in a funny way. I wonder if there is a dispute. Also appears to have been used as a office. There are ISDN lines and a PBX in one of the rooms.
Is that the black box in the corner?
That looks like the PBX, the two cream boxes beside it on other wall are old Eircom ISDN equipment, each supported two (ISDN channels) phone lines. All totally obsolete now.
I was wondering what that blacl thing was. I wonder would you need to apply for planning to change it back to residential?
The courtyard pic looked like the courtyard belonged to the house for sale, but it's overlooked by, and encroached by next door. It's very odd anyway.
Apartment 20, Harbour Point, Longford Town, Co. Longford is for sale on Daft.ie
Can anyone tell me why this is so cheap? Thinking of buying it to live in.
Because it's an apartment in the middle of longford town 😁
What's wrong with that though? I'm seriously asking, not messing. I keep myself to myself wherever I live.
Are you from Longford/near there? Do you know the town at all?
It looks ok, the photos of the room sizes are distorted as you can tell by the tiles in the bathroom, but actually going into it would sort that. No-one can tell from photos whether there might be neighbour/noise issues, that is always the case in apartments. Is there any mention of charges for common areas and maintenance etc? The only way you can know anything is to go and look at it.
Nope, not a clue to be honest.
I have emailed them to ask what the annual charges are.
Ah ok, well it wouldn't have a great name as a town, but I do have friends that live there and they like it ok.
Maybe go and spend a few days there would be my advise.
