Yeah, think he's a converted back row. 4/5 of the year 1 intake are from Leinster.
How many of these have done a years sub academy and how many are straight out of school?
And?
He was playig in trinity for last year. Assume he will transfer from whatever collee in dublin hr was in and also transfer club to buccs or corinthians
Was asking a ? Keep ur knickers on.
Yea Naughton probably been a good selection.
how was he rated in Leinster? Looks like himself and Fin would be u20s next season
Played centre up until 5th year, then only switched to hooker after school after two years at 8
Thornbery looks fine at open session.https://youtu.be/OEcnzS6EDFo?si=HEx2w1PpFEJTlvx2
Do you know why he didn't make any 20s squads after being involved in the warm ups? Injury or perhaps doesn't have strong enough fundamentals at hooker yet?
Not sure if he's seen as a top tier prospect but afaik he was first choice at u18 and u19, and made the Ireland squad both years as well, which generally bodes well.
Light for 5/6 as expected (Murphy degree)
Otherwise full-stacked
Got injured in a warm up game, think he would've made 6N squad as 3rd choice over Henchy who didn't play anyway, not sure of his fundamentals as I haven't seen him play since school, good athlete and ball carrier from 8
Good news for connacht girls. Connacht 13 v 5 Munster. Connacht 42 v 12 Ulster.(maybe there is no fixture vs Leinster.)
Now Prendergast was released from IRFU duty. From the first game of URC, he will be avairable for Connacht. This is very good.
connacht beat leinster 18-17 in the opening round
Not sure. he provides cover for 6/7/8 now for Ireland, even if a lock gets injured Baid will cover 5 and Prendergast could be called for 6.
Next on the line important likelihood he's back in France at one point...
Sorry、my comment was lack of explanation. I wanted to say about under 18 girls. I think that senior women team will be more stronger next year.
ah ok 👍️
First URC game lines up with the semi finals of RWC, it’s very likely Prendergast will have been called up by then.
Apary from Santi, are there any injury concerns in the Connacht camp?
I think that Prendergast will not be called up with little basis.
And I have a wish(or delusion) that come backing to player by Scott Fardy. Now heis 39 years old. Ex-Munster D.O'Callaghan play longer and came to Galway at challenge cup matchas a woocester player.) As a LO who has had strong defending ability, so (I think) he can play at the last quarter at least. On the other hand, sometimes Connacht have been lost maul-defending power in last quarter, so his power and experience may be effective for Connacht. And more he can become brilliant mentor because his rare (or seldom) career and experience.(To his experience,Japanese governmeAs a rugby player he is late bloomer. (He became wallaby at 29, and then have gotten 39caps for Australia). Definetly he will be best roll model for young Connacht FW players especially Murrays, Dowling , Prendergast and Thorbery (I think that he is young yet), Bryan Walsh and etc It's maybe too much attachment of me..
Connacht v Leinster u18 is on in the Sportsground on Sat.
Thank you very much. I expect the home advantage for connacht.
Not sure but Jansen had a moon boot on at the open session last week. Another younger lad dis too but wasn't sure who he was. Maybe McCormack?
if so we're light for back row maybe no Cian no Jansen no Murphy no McCormack...
we'd start with SHL 6 Oliver 7 Boyle 8 Dowling/SOB 20
Stil ok but no reserve
Is Butler gone? Would add to the cover
Yes he's still here FFS.
He'd be 20, and SOB/Dowling reservesthen...
Connacht U 18 girls 19-15 won over Leinster. So they won against all other provinces this year. snior women lost against Ulster regrettably due to too many injuries. I think that Connacht young women players need more training time especially tackling and 'UKEMI' (this is Judo's skill to avoid injuries). I expect them to jumping up at next season.
Didn’t realise Sean Skehan (Terenure Ail coach) is coaching the Connacht U18s
Yeah coached them this year with Paddy Thornton.
2 games for Connacht squads this friday in Ballynahinch RFC.
Ulster A v Connacht A 3pm
Ulster Dev v Connacht Dev 5.30pm
Teams named for tomorrows games

Will some Connacht team staff (or no-appearance members) post some hilights to youtube? I want to see healthy Prendargust, Devine and others.
