They act with impunity. They don't discriminate between good and evil or right and wrong. They act to get results. In the short term this might work sometimes, but ultimately it leads to the disaster that Russia is today. If they didn't have all that gas to bail them out they'd by back in the stone age now.

I think that question answers the question why Prigozhin wasn't killed earlier. Putin needed two months to find replacements for Wagner leadership. Most probably we will not see any changes in Africa, just instead of Prig, Wagner will be managed by someone else.
So what happens now with Russias involvement in Central Africa with the Wagner fighters down there left without leadership?

More likely the one with his name on the passenger list would be the decoy. I wonder who was on the second plane, though. That interview Putin gave about his death was chilling. He kind of implied he did it by mentioning that Prigozhin made serious mistakes in his life. I see the Kremlin have already laid the ground to blame the west, by mentioning he had many enemies outside Russia. It would be great if karma caught up with Putin someday. Unfortunately I can't see it coming through Wagner they will be demoralised now that their leadership has been wiped out.
Dodgy business all right, even if you know where to make the cut. These bomblets are notoriously unstable at the best of times once armed. Whether they fall from the mother bomb, or are dropped from a drone, I'd say the effects will be the same, except maybe a bit more accurate when a drone is used.

Prior that several of its journalists were murdered, and its editor, Dmitry Muratov, who had been a winner of the Nobel Prize in 2010 for his work in safeguarding freedom of expression, was attacked as well.
