Sky news said Prog owned two planes that were in the sky at the time. I'm not sure if the second plane was in the same area.

Although I really wouldn’t put this past Putin to rig a crash, part of me wonders if this was all down to old fashioned Russian fecklessness. They are having a hard time maintaining aircraft in a country with a crap aviation record to begin with. Aeroflot apparently have started to ground some of their (stolen) Boeing 777 due to being unable to keep up the needed maintenance.
Prigozhin could have been assassinated for sure, but I feel there’s an equal chance for the Russian-maintained aircraft he was flying in to crap out and crash….especially after a long haul to Africa.
If this is him dying on return from his trip to stir up sh*t in Africa, it serves him right frankly.
He was a dead man walking to be fair, or flying as it turned out.

After reading previously how Belarus president had a ryanair plane forced onto the ground to get a journalist that they didn't like, you would have to assume that anyone with half a brain wouldn't fly anywhere near Russia or bolarus if they were wanted in Russia.

I know it's high unlikely but I would love if there is a plot twist to all this that would serve to ruin Putin's enjoyment of the concert he is attending. What if Prigozhin was actually on the plane that turned back. His name was on the passenger list of the plane that went down as a ruse.
What was interesting about the video released of Prigozhin plane falling to the ground is the person taking the video was drawing back up to the sky even when they knew it was about to crash. Was there another plane in the sky.
