Revenge of the Russian air force for the shoot down of their planes by Wagner.
My point would be that he is a brutal murderous dictator but is not even remotely trying to hide it.
Crucial thing now is what the reaction of Wagner mercenaries might be (again assumes he is dead)
Who run Wagner now?
What difference would that make to vlad?
It's not a democracy. If anything in the eyes of the average Russian this cements the fact that you don't cross Putin.
The whole thing is bizzare even for Russia. Prighozni surely knew it was do or die when he started the mutiny. Made zero sense that he backed down at the 11th hour.
Maybe it’s a reminder to the Russian people that Putin is still in charge and you will be killed for dissent.
All to instill fear, it’s what Putin does best
How convenient for the Wagner boss to be on that plane after leading an attempted coup.
Oh he is very dead.
But even when it comes to Putin protecting himself, sometimes its better the devil you know. than the devil you don't. The inevitable vacuum could create very adverse circumstances for Putin.
The Russian military is a mess, disloyal, fearful, probably easily bribed to look the other way if 40,000 Wagner mercs decide to do something about it.
I really do hope that vile POS is dead and died roaring.
There will be a special place in hell for him!
PS, the military mind and raving loony behind the Wagner armed force, Dimitry Utkin, is also reported to have been on the plane and hence likely dead.
100%, they feel more secure knowing that he is still ruthless, he is not trying to hide anything.,this is the culture. You can be as cruel as you like but vulnerability is not accepted.
You would need a heart of stone not to laugh.
They wouldn't kill 10 people just to dispose of him...would they?
Good riddance to Prigozhin but wow, what a blatant and shameless act of revenge by Putin. Absolutely no pretence now at being anything other that a deranged mafia state
Scarface scarface scarface
Totally unsubstantiated phone video of a plane falling out of the sky, reported to be the Prigozhin jet.
If that was the plane, then it quite obviously was either shot down, or had an explosive detonated within it.
Surprise, surprise.
The Jet is an Embraer Legacy 600.
..
Whoever else was thinking of toppling Putin now knows that it's all or nothing whenever they do try.
He was dead when he turned around
And to think Putin guaranteed him safe passage and reassignment to Belerus lol.
So much for him being allowed to live because he had something on Putin. What a monumental ego he had to believe Putin would not get even.
Wiki also updated for Dmitry Utkin
2 things can be learned from this and learned well:
I thought this at the time but Prigo absolutely sealed his fate the second he decided to turn around. And I'd imagine in the interim it was just a matter of figuring out how they were gonna kill him.
That's if he's dead. Will wait for confirmation.
You dont get to take a shot at the king and live.
He should have gone all the way to Moscow that time, but someone influential must have withdrew their support that he thought he could rely on.
Russian emergency services have recovered 8 bodies. There were 8 passengers plus 2 crew, so likely the crew will only be recovered later, being in the capsule that is a modern reinforced cockpit.
The Russians being so sure he was on the plane that they can announce him dead this early must surely mean they took him out and were successful.
Only 8 bodies accounted for according to Sky, the plot thickens 🤣
Putin at a concert right now, seems happy.
The mystery is why Prigozhin wasn't arrested/killed immediately after the mutiny. It is as if he had some leverage, which is now gone. What was the leverage? The thread of another mutiny? But then why did Wagner in Russia allowed itself to be disarmed?
Another interesting point is who will direct Wagner's operations abroad now?
