This case had been absolutely harrowing for all involved.

Words cannot describe the depths of cruelty at present here. My first child was born 6 weeks early. They are so delicate and helpless.

I wasn't too aware of this case but what happened in the hospital when concerns were first raised is absolutely astounding

She deserves whatever is coming to her in prison. The pain and suffering she created, she doesn’t deserve to be treated like a human.

My God. It’s left me speechless. She’s obviously in some way addicted to the unbearably harrowing “drama” surrounding the unspeakable grief involved in the death of a tiny baby. The more harrowing and nightmarish the better.

I was following it on another website for the last few months and the stack of evidence they had was compelling.
Her defence consisted of her testifying herself which didn't go well for her at all, and her only other witness was a plumber that testified that there were issues in that hospital wing, but not on any of the days the babies were attacked. And also, none of the babies died or collapsed from a bacterial cause so even if the plumbing was fcuked, it still didn't cause any deaths or collapses in the babies who were successfully resuscitated.

yup, theres some seriously fcuked up psychological disorders out there that lead to such outcomes, hopefully she gets the help she needs, but in all, what a truly awful situation for those families, rip little ones

I would imagine whole life sentence? It's a shame she was able to refuse to leave her cell for the remaining verdicts to be announced.
This is a weird and fascinating story that will doubtless be the subject of numerous documentaries and true crime podcasts in the coming months

Haven't followed it but would she have a disorder related to munchausens , similar scenarios but lethal here
If she has such conditions, would it have been discussed? She could end up in psychiatric hospital yet? Like Allitt before her?
It is good to hear she has been found guilty on so many counts. The poor little babies who died screaming because of the horrific things she did to them. I hope she never sees the light of day again.

On paper she was an ideal candidate to be a nurse. Impossible to screen for.
Undoubtedly there'll be people more interested on what was wrong in her life that led to commit her terrible acts than the victims and families of her heinous crimes. She deserves the worst that can be inflicted on her. Many others had traumatic childhoods but didn't take it out on babies and innocent families.
The fact they looking at 4000 other cases she may be related to is scary as hell. However the biggest question is, how come no one bothered to look into her after first couple instances which seemed out of order. The hospital groups are responsible for not doing any sort of investigation.
A nurse who worked at that hospital (4 minutes and 35 seconds into this video) told Sky News that her colleagues often said when the alarm went off, especially at night, "I wonder if Lucy is working tonight".
I could understand the reasons a healthcare worker would have for being afraid to blow the whistle but it would only have taken one anonymous phone call to the police for staff's suspicions to be acted upon and nobody else in the hospital would have known who made the call.

Worse than that, the hospital management made the doctors that raised their concerns write letters of apology to Letby, after she complained about being put on administrative duties!
