He didn't react to a statement. He made a statement himself when the smart thing to do would have been to do nothing.

He's not an employee. As a contractor, all he has is his contract, which can always be terminated for poor performance. He has very little basis for any action.

Bakhurst just admitted it was because his statement wasn't toeing the line. RTE come out of this far worse than him IMO.

A Narc is always found out, they have an end stage when everyone realises just what they are. They make a lotta noise for a lotta time. I’ve worked with couple of these. They always have an eventual downfall, but it’s too often very late. So many years they attract an audience, subjects of Stockholm Syndrome.
I always try and asked myself are you under the influence of Stockholm Syndrome, or believing people who have been sh1tty have turned ok.. I go with caution and keep a distance .

I wouldn’t be too sure either that he’ll return medium term- if he makes good elsewhere he’ll definitely think twice before doing further work with RTE - I don’t think he’ll be twiddling his thumbs for long
