I don’t think Bakhurst deserves any credit or applause, Tubs was always on the way back according to him and had one foot in the door and was always coming back until he f*cked it up for himself. They’ve been paying him all this time and were in contract renegotiations. Bakhurst should have told him to sling his hook elsewhere weeks ago.

Any half competent procurement team will stitch in clauses allowing for termination of contract based on underperformance or services not provided. I doubt Tubridy has any legitimate angle to sue from.
Though given Rté is effectively a state funded company, you'd have to wonder how they could appoint directly with a single agency time and time again without breaking procurement laws (OJEU values etc). Perhaps there isn't much of a procurement team there and any clauses in his contract are basically referencing Santa Claus and toyman being the undisputed king of getting whatever he wants.
