Don't think a P30 Pro can do wireless AA. I couldn't get mine to work on loads of different cars.

"Don't think a P30 Pro can do wireless AA. I couldn't get mine to work on loads of different cars."

It works fine on the AA wireless, just not Internet connection. And it worked perfect through an adaptor on my old Ioniq, so I'm hopeful!

Car is now in over 2 weeks with Western Motors Drogheda for software update and service under the original L service plan. Managed to get the software update completed yesterday but ordeal not likely to be over by tomorrow, as sealant for the battery check is on back order, despite this service being booked over 2 months in advance.

They also tried to charge me 60e for wiper replacements (which are covered in the plan) and then tried to tell me that the front brake pads would only be covered at the time of this service, not at any other time in my 36 month contract. They don't need replacing now, so WM trying to cop out of it at a later date. Fortunately I have a copy of my service plan agreement and could explain the errors of their ways - trying to get them to confirm if I could just drop the car in for that alone in month 35 and not be charged at all or if they will try to bill me for something else.

They were good for the previous updates (12v battery etc) and I had an id4 loaner, but this time around it will be over 2 weeks, will have to go back at a later date for the battery check I expect, loaner was a Skoda superb and then they also tried to rip me off on my service plan ... You might be better going to VW in Navan or Dundalk if in the North East

Did your ID.3 really drop to 220km during winter?

    Christ, that's fair poor.

Hi all, I have car for 2 years. The wipers have never been right on it. Squeaking all the time, worse on slow than fast but always annoying. Had update about 3 months ago,. said it to them but still the same. Anyone have this problem or solution to it. Thank you.

That happened only once. I've just checked my spreadsheet and with the temperatures of -1 to -4, it would do 240km and that would have been driving easy enough. The battery had around 50kWh capacity available so 240km range is about 21kWh/100km on those very cold mornings. My average over the winter was 18.5kWh/100km

Maybe Im stating the obvious here, but surely the solution to squeaky wipers is to get new wiper blades?!

The problem is that they have been like this from day 1.

I think VAG are cheaping out on wipers, my superb was the same they were terrible. I'm just waiting for the windscreen gunk to wear off before getting the Bosch wipers for the Born.

Look for Aerotwin AP30U, 750mm. They’re often not listed as compatible in online shops but they fit. Amazon usually have them on offer.

Give the glass and current blades a deep clean too to avoid transferring anything to the new ones.

Bosch aerotwin ap30u available in most good motor factors or Micks garage. Perfect fit. Changed mine on ID3 as originals were bad. Rear blade the same.

I've never had an issue with OEM wipers but also buy Bosh Aerotwin for any replacements. Be sure to give them a wipe with a cloth every now and then just to they're not dirty.

Just to confirm my superb powers of observation,I've only just now noticed the ID light in my new car isn't working and I can't find the menu for same in v3.5.

    Can anybody "enlighten' me ?

Surely they haven't dropped it or stuck it into an options pack etc.

    I’m 2.4 and it’s here - Vehicle - interior

Are the options there for the exterior lights - welcome front led’s dance, dynamic turn signal and rear led X light show ?

Wiper info below - picked up while getting a Rex oil & filter

    €21.78 each

Just checked there on software 3.5 and it's not there for us either.

My rear wiper is a bit noisy, fronts are fine but I switched the to the Bosch ones ages ago.

    Recommendations for rear ones?

These threads are invaluable. I didn't know I had a heated steering wheel in my ID4 for a good while after I bought it, until someone mentioned it in the thread.

Hmmmm it's looking like the cheap b@#s@rds did indeed optionise the ID light further research is required I know it's ultimately just a gimmick BUY. It's a nice gimmick tbf

Great value if you live in Kilkenny 👍🏻

Addition to @hold my beer ‘s steering wheel heater -

Long press the ‘rear’ window opener and all 4 windows go down off the drivers switch-

In general, Bosch wiperblades seem to be badly affected by price gouging here. Widely available in UK and continental Europe for way less. £13 in N.I https://www.transportsupplies.co.uk/bosch-wiper-blade-3397006840-ap30u

    Halfords for example are really shoving on the Paddy Tax ;

    21 euro from micks garage.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,711 ✭✭✭joe1303l

+ €4.95 delivery charge. Your local motor factors usually work out cheaper than them.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 624 ✭✭✭handpref

Did they ask you to transfer your insurance or did they put you on theirs free of charge ?

Thanks for the update, due in next week and hoping not to get messed around again.

Had to transfer my own this time, didn't cost me anything though. They won't be able to do the battery check, sealant not due in until February!! They've agreed to change the brake pads free of charge with the battery check in February, as per my service plan
