I was wondering how they could train them in secret in France.... Move the training to Ukraine would solve that. A bold move, but as you say, just rumors so far.
I always preferred keeping the training on any and all western kit a secret (as much as possible) and just announce it when it's been delivered and in operation with Ukraine.

If just 10% of the Moscow population grew a pair and marched on the streets to show their opposition to the war I am not sure the authorities could do anything to stop it.

Indeed. There is precedent for stuff like this anyway. Britain only announced Storm Shadow as they were starting to land on Russian heads. And their engineers had obviously been working in secret for some months to make the Soviet jets talk to the missile. But jerryrigging a connection for a missile can be done in a windowless backroom of a military complex. Training a few dozen Ukranians pilots on Mirages is something else entirely. Not to mention training the dozens more maintenance crew required. As I said I'd love to see it happen but i doubt anything will come of this. Time will tell.

I doubt ordinary Russians have benefitted like the oligarchs. Someone posted before about how most Russians still heat their homes with fuel they gather themselves and live off food they produce. If the state controls the means of communication the channels and opportunity for opposition are reduced to non compliance.
It's kinda of like saying we irish actually liked being made dependent on the potato and the subsequent mass starvation was all our own fault. Even Ukranians know the only way to guarantee a post Putin peace is to win over the average Russian.

Ordinary Russians have been reduced to canon fodder now. The only protest possible now is getting captured by Ukraine.

OK, population of Moscow is over 12Mil. So to get 10% you would need 1.2M protestors. The protest you referred to had 50k. Among them was Mr. Navalny, who is still suffering persecution for being an opposition politician.
Putin will be dispatched by the oligarchs when he becomes either too weak or too inconvenient. He will be replaced be another thug and the Russian sh1tsh0w will continue.

Yes. But in the case of the current war, I do not believe for one minute that most ordinary Russians don't know what is going down, at least to some extent. Stop making excuses for them at this stage. They either know the war is completely unjustified and are sitting on their hands or they believe that Ukraine is part of their great Empire and that it should just acquiesce. Either way, their complicity is damning.
