A bit like modern car bumpers, they're a steel section covered by plastic ( they are different compositions) that bounce back after a collision, does not luck like much, but underneath...its a different story! And the charge was 450 KG of explosive? That caused some internal damage, for sure.
You just know Russia will retaliate for the attack on their sh i t ship.
It's too the shame of the west that we are allowing this to continue. it's been a pathetic response to the Russian thug.
That was my point.
Looks like robotyne has been liberated. Some reports indicate very little resistance.
What don't I get and where did I mention concession? Everything to hasten the defeat of Russia should be given asap. We're all indirectly losing in this war even if we don't know it yet.
Putin is filled with jealous hatred of Ukraine and doesn't want them to be free of Russia. That's the real reason for this war.
Poor kids are living in a nightmare. They should be the reason for fighting fcuk all the attention on borders. They need to get every child home.
I'd see it as the opposite honestly.
Leaving aside the food issue which is obviously a cynical evil move by the Kremlin. Which shows an astounding lack of empathy towards even their own supposed allies in Africa and China.
The negative impact of the explosions and fires will be a drop in the bucket compared to us weaning ourselves off Russian oil and gas and accelerating towards renewables to replace the shortfall in Europe. Probably one of the only things the little moron Putin has succeeded at in trying to blackmail us with energy.
Therefore, the world needs to get its collective ass together and finish off Putin once and for all, and it could be done very quickly if they did this.
Well, you can offset the environmental damage by
As for an end to the invasion. One likely outcome is that the war will revert to artillery attrition and will burn out in a year or so. Russia is sinking fast and they can't keep it up much longer, let alone a 'forever war'.
You don't get it, or chose not to, Putin will see every concession as a vindication of his invasion and will continue the war.
This war will inevitably split the Russian Federation and leave Russia in a worse state than even after the collapse of the USSR.
Ukraine is paying a high human price for this war, but we're all going to pay a high environmental cost. We were already careering down a slippery slope but with the 1000's of explosions, fires, oil spills etc that are happening everyday, its just going to make things worse at a rate of knots. Throw in the destruction of dams and the threat to food supplies and the arguments for an international push to put an end to this invasion is growing every day.
Moscow, again
And if the US fly protection flightsin the black sea for cargo ships heading to ukraine
They won't.
Thats 2 naval vessels hit in a matter of days -
And if the US fly protection flightsin the black sea for cargo ships heading to ukraine that could open up Ukrainian sea trade , except the ports and loading facilities are being destroyed by missile strikes .
The front fell off.
"Olenegorski Gornyk" is a Ropucha class landing ship. She was originally part of the Baltic fleet but was transferred to the Black Sea in preparation for the war in February 2022. The only missiles these ships carry are SA-N-5 SAMs and GRAD rockets to support newly landed troops.
Interestingly, two of "Olenegorski Gornyk"'s sister ships were attacked and damaged in Berdyansk in March 2022. Neither of those two ships have been repaired yet due to an apparent lack of spare parts. So even if the damage of this latest attack is repairable, I'd say that ship is out of action for the duration of the war. Also, that means that Russia has now lost four ships sunk or out of action at sea or in port in a land war against a country with effectively no navy...
EDIT: Actually, the total according to my count would be five ships lost or out of action. An Alligator class landing ship was sunk in the same attack that damaged those two Ropucha class ships in Berdyansk.
That's odd...according to you it's already failed. Is this Schroedinger's Counteroffensive; simultaneously failed and not yet failed?
Was the ship that was hit launching missiles into Ukraine ? Looked like a big ship but apparently is almost 50 years old. Regardless, hopefully it sinks.
Just like HMS Royal Oak destroyed four German torpodoes in 1939. 😁
Perhaps all the fighting is useless.
Maybe the most effective way to win this war is to force Russia to keep increasing military spending so they are forced to printing larger amounts of Rubles to fill even bigger government deficits.
Tariffs on sanctioned goods that third countries known to be exporting to Russia would be an ideal way of making the war more expensive.
We will soon see the Russians put cages around their ships 😀
As that tweet has been deleted here it is on YT.

Ouch, that looks like quite the hit. It all depends on the internal damage of course, but that ship could be out of action for months, possibly even a write-off if the keel has taken damage.
Lol
And the Moskva was only damaged too, and being towed to port for repairs...and then a storm sank it. Or so we are told.
Technically they were destroyed. One just happened to destroy itself on the side of a ship.
