The chickens are coming home to roost and they're not happy about it.
Don't forget, he told people not to use postal votes too!
Well, he won that election, really. There was a huge and sophisticated conspiracy to rig that election, leaving behind a mountain of evidence that is clear and obvious to his supporters but somehow not provable in court or even admissible.
Go figure.
It's like he wanted to lose, or wanted a pretext to end the democratic process altogether.
I still haven't seen it so will take your word for it.
Thats a very dubious use of statistics given the US population has increased thereby rendering comparisons on absolute votes meaningless. Its the kinda stat that people with no sene of history might be fooled by.
Trump got 46.8%
Grover Cleveland got 48.6% in 1888
So even as a loser Trump loses.
Grover Cleveland eh?
'in an alternate reality, had Trump not had to navigate an actual crisis, he would have won'
Are we really circling back to that, instead of just reading or acknowledging the indictment? This isn't how you win 2024. It wasn't how Red Wave November 2022 worked either.
They spring from Guillermo Del Toros loins.
Used to think they were a comedic exaggeration but with some of the folks that were at MAGA/Anti-Covid rallys + the discovery of Joe Exotic as an actual human, they actually seem more like reality. Kinda depressing but also funny.
Rickety Cricket also has devolved into looking more like Kid Rock than actual Kid Rock.
He also, as sitting president, told people that the only way he would lose the election was if it was rigged. How is that not wilfully undermining trust in Democracy? He is also the only POTUS in modern times who elected not to attend his successor's inauguration. The conclusion is simple. It's based on his consistent behaviour. He cannot stand to lose and will make up any excuse to explain why losses occur rather than accept defeat.
Some of the best comedy comes from reality.
Look up some of the tea party clips, for more laughs and realisation of what happens when mental health amongst others has funding cut.
One thing I will say, that lawyer Alina Habba is stunning. He definitely has a 'type'
I wonder is she really comfortable around court confirmed rapist Mr Trump who opening admits he likes to grab women by the privates, I'd also hope she got her payment up front as Mr Trump has a habbit of not paying his legal teams.
Just watching Trumps Monday speech on CSpan from Erie, Pennsylvania.
Seriously, its like listening to a 12 year old girl.
50% of Americans want this guy back? America is fooked.
There was a certain cynical logic to that. As the postal votes were counted after the others, by pushing his supporters to vote in person he got an early lead in the ballot counts. As the postal votes came in he lost that lead, but it allowed him to shout that the vote was being "stolen" by massive postal vote fraud.
Trump probably needs more lawyers because his lawyers are co-conspirators in another case, some of his lawyers are testifying against him, and Trump bringing a lawsuit against a former lawyer could reveal crimes Trump has committed due to discovery.
Trump's not even President and he's still creating jobs!
Trump is prevented from discussing the facts of the case with anyone known to be a witness. Problem is Trump cannot see the difference between facts and alternative facts.
I have yes.
I have also seen who issued the indictment, Jack Smith, whose remit was to Get Trump.
I have also seen who the judge is, Tanya Chutkan, an Obama appointed judge who has history with Trump.
She is without doubt the worst judge Trump could have gotten.
Chutkan, a former assistant public defender who was nominated to the bench by President Barack Obama, has consistently taken the hardest line against Jan. 6 defendants of any judge serving on Washington’s federal trial court
Chutkan worked at the law firm Boies Schiller Flexner from 2002 until she was confirmed as a federal judge in 2014.
Boies Schiller has strong connections to the Democratic Party, and Hunter Biden was counsel at the firm from 2009 to 2014.
Then lets add in the Washington Jury pool, which is staunchly anti Republican
So will I accept the decision of the court if Trump is found guilty ?
I already know the decision, its impossible to win against a stacked deck.
Not even a legal team of Matlock, Saul Goodman and Perry Mason could win this case.
I presume you cast the same vision on Aileen Cannon? Who appointed her? Does she have a history of pro or anti trump rulings?
Conspiracy nonsense at the end of the day.
I would expect a judge to take a tough line against what Trump tried to do. He tried to overturn the constitution, the rule of law and democracy itself just so he could eke out a further four more years at a job he was abysmal at.
Your claims get even more hysterical at the end of the post but since you've no sources, I'll dismiss them.
You previously said innocent until proven guilty, now it's reject a verdict cause he's being prosecuted in the place where the crime was committed and the judge is a meany?
On the Newsagents podcast they mentioned that Republicans have formed the largest law firm in Washington DC. This law firm only has one client and that is Trump.
You already lost me: Prosecutors don't issue indictments. Try again?
TLDR, Trump is fucked because he broke the law, every Jesus level lawyer you could come up with couldn't talk his way out of those charges.
" I already know the decision"
Probably because you know trump is guilty but you aren't at a point yet that you can admit it publicly.
Also as far as I know its a grand jury that issues an indictment in the states.
The funny thing is, Operation Warpspeed was a massive success. It was just unfortunate for him that his supporters were so stupid about vaccines that he couldn't really tout it.
Its not conspiracy nonsense, I take it you havent spent much time in a courtroom.
The choice of judge is critical to the outcome of a case as is the Jury, to say otherwise is either ignorance or dishonesty.
You can spout all your usual buzzwords, Conspiracy nonsense, Trumpster Drivel, Rubbish etc, its utterly predictable at this stage.
Trump said it "was a sad day", but it wasn't a sad day for democracy.
So much copium.
Trump better reread his Art of the Deal now so he can be upto date on it for the deals he will make with federal prosecutors to escape prison sentence
Lol
Of course not. The way you've written your post and your inevitable descent into the usual caustic comments isn't exactly going to convince me. Since you'd clearly only be convinced the trial is if the judge is wearing a MAGA hat, the definition loses its meaning.
You can scream that it's a stitch-up all you want. The rest of us know better.
