I think the prosecutors/investigators have said there were about 20 occasions where Hunter would get his father to join in on a call just to say hello to the businessmen, but all those businessmen have testified and explicitly said it was only a greeting and they never discussed any business or anything with Joe Biden.

If there's evidence against Joe Biden, then it should be put forward and he should be treated just like everyone else would be. What they ultimately want is a caste system with themselves at the top. They only care about democracy when their game rigging tactics return victory.
As for Trump, they've ultimately no choice at this point. By embracing the MAGA cult, they made themselves utterly dependent on it. Now, it's too late. If they stay with Trump, they lose the centre. If they ditch him, they loose the inflated fringe. The cult isn't going away soon.
