Two seconds in an he had me laughing with his "get rid of the two Murphs" or words to that effect.
The fact that those polished tiles robbed us of Ken in Oz is bad enough, that the reporter Down Under now seems to be Sinead O'Carroll, just rubs salt in the wounds 😭
I really don't understand the hate for Sinead O'Carroll...
Who has said that they hate her? Why are you being so dramatic?
I generally find SOC annoying and don't take to her but I thought she was good yesterday.
It's a bit later than usual but they will be on radio this year
Maybe because people think she's useless.
Can't say I've any problem with her either. Fan of Karen Duggan too.
On what basis though?
Karen is very good. I like that she's not just a cheerleader for the team.
Not a fan of SOC. Just can't warm to her or her opinions.
Polished wood flooring it was and he wearing socks
So it's not that people hate her, it's that they moan about her? She's hardly the only contributor or host that people regularly moan about, in that case.
I think the obvious difference is that usually when people moan about contributors there's a reason behind it. Oisin McConville is a good pundit but dreary voice. Shane Horgan is overly technical and boring. Etc. But Sinéad O'Carroll is not liked. But never a specific reason, beyond what I consider the obvious reason that she and others like her attract hate on twitter. Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe boards is different to Twitter. Hope it is.
She's fine, I don't think she adds anything particularly interesting when she's on but she's rarely on so don't have a strong enough opinion either way
I do find articles like this quite cringey though.

What's the obvious reason you're referring to? Because she's female?
I don't enjoy Miguel Delaney's contributions. I don't enjoy Sinead's contributions. I don't enjoy Paul Flynn's contributions. I think Caitlyn Thompson is one of the best contributors they have.
I can't speak for others, but certainly I don't base my like/dislike of a contributor on their gender.
Was expecting some entertaining nonsense from Ken about the Mbappe transfer, instead that article he was reading from was a bit depressing.
Ken's ramble about Saudi Arabia could be used as a cure for insomnia!
Fair play to Mal for calling out Limerick throwing the ball.
Bit late at this stage.
Enjoyed Jamie and Mal on Limerick
Sure everyone has called out ball throwing over the last few years
Well, that, or never sleep again with the depressing gravity of it all.
Enjoyed this chat with Irvine Welsh, i could listen to him speak all day, very interesting guy.
Ken and Murphy will make points and use ancient Greece or the romance poets for metaphors.
Jamie within 2 minutes is mentioning Nelson from the Simpsons...
Ha I never actually noticed it until I started following this thread, good god Jamie is simpsons mad
Loved when Welsh called out the Irish who turn their back on their own clubs and instead go abroad to support a foreign team.
People are free to spend their money on what they like without being judged. And when he said he couldn’t understand why people go to watch premier league football from Ireland it’s just being willfully obtuse. It’s pretty obvious to anyone moderately intelligent why you would prefer PL football to LOI football. And I’m a subber to watchLOI and never went to a PL game in my life.
Now that you mention it, I can recall several Simpsons references that he has dished out on the pod. Still not enough if you ask me.
Its become a ridiculous argument that will eventually become complete nonsense.
Back in the day when football wasn't on tv, supporting an English team was kinda mad but irish players representing Ireland was a good link for some.
Then when it started being on tv people just supported teams and the blinkered argument began.
Now a days the top English teams are nearly finished their local links. They're en route to becoming global teams in a super league. They have fans from all over the world. People don't follow them for the same reasons they might follow a local team.
It's the global elite League.
Nobody questions support of NBA teams. There's Irish basketball people can go watch, but obviously it's not the same.
Is that the Irvine Welsh who turned his back on his native Scotland to go live abroad in the USA?
