I wonder could we infer from that poster, that whatever the ulterior motive behind Rutherford's implant is (as we briefly saw at the end of S2), he goes off-mission and needs to be rescued by the gang?
Cyber katra?
Since Season 3 is coming out on August 25, it’s the perfect time to look back on some of the biggest developments from the last 10 episodes.
3 Weeks wait for it! As with the Orville finishing, no space operas to watch at present.
Good news for Amazon Prime subscribers, season 3 will premiere there for international subscribers on Aug 26th.
That is good news: I had been wondering if Paramount+ becoming active in UK/IE might hoover up the remaining licenses floating about other services.
I won't specify exactly how but has anyone with a UK/Ireland Paramount+ subscription logged into their account "in the US" and does it give you the US catalogue of programmes?
That is excellent news. Thank you
I fully expect they'll get there eventually. That's why I'm using up as much Trek as I can on Netflix while I can. I still don't see myself spending cash on Paramount+ just yet. Especially while their headline act remains The Michael Burnham Show.
No, their headline act is Strange New Worlds.
Nah, at least not in my case. I’m in the US with an Irish Paramount+ sub through Sky. Can’t even sign into the app or browser. Have to VPN back to the UK/Ireland to make it work.
Who knows though, maybe a purchased account rather than one bundled with Sky might be different - wouldn’t be too confident though.
Surprised by how quiet this thread has been, really enjoying this season, the characters are developing nicely.
The show has just settled into a nice rhythm; certainly the heady surprise that "OMG, the Star Trek cartoon is actually really good (Trek)" has passed, so kinda stopped feeling the need to share that buzz. The show just is.
Did they just commit the Kelvin-verse to Tendi's dream?
Love this
That's fantastic
We're discussing them episode by episode on their own threads.
Ah cheers, tbh I didn't think the following was big enough for individual episode threads so I didn't even look. Glad to be proved wrong
That is excellently done.
Love it.
One with Voyeger next now lol.
Biggest shock since the end of Picard season 2 when Laris opens the sonic shower door and finds Zhaban inside.
Looks like this Friday is the DS9 episode. I feel as giddy as Tendi.
Just finished Season 3. What an absolute gem of a show. Whoever the writing team is, had to have grown up on the golden era of Trek. The writing is brilliant, completely individual, yet absolutely so rich in nods and references at the same time...in a way that only an animated show could really do. The soundtrack in Season 3 was also so beautifully reminiscent of The Wrath of Khan at times. There's little to say about it all that hasn't been said already, but it's an absolute love letter to golden-era Trek, wrapped up in laughter.
1) Lower Decks returns 7th September -Trailer has dropped, but restricted to US IP...., so.... you know.
2) Crossover episode drops tonight.
International trailer for those who don't want to start up the VPN https://intl.startrek.com/videos/official-trailer-star-trek-lower-decks-season-4
I really like the poster :)
Can't wait for more T'Lyn
Season 4! You gotta love it; the 2nd longest running nu Trek - who'd have thought it! And, methinks, will quickly become the longest at this rate & the goodwill holds.
this is logical.
The record for longest running is still held by Discovery, no? 4th season aired last year and 5th season in the works.
Yes, but since Discovery ends on the 5th, it's trivial for Lower Decks to go past that point.
Mention of promotions in the trailer. I really hope Boimler gets what he deserves and it isn't stolen away from him by a plot device.
