Very interesting to see if that's the team that start..blanchfield must be ok if named in the panel..if he is fit to play it's a huge boost to the team..
I can see everything from a limerick hitting form and blowing us away to us winning by a couple..praying for the latter..not much build up in general but a long week in my little head..
Looks like they are giving Blanchfield every chance to make it. If all are fit i dont see any changes as that would be the team that most people would pick to start.
Hard to know what the actual situation is. Has Blanchfield had a successful recuperation? Was is as bad as diagnosed? Is he being tried out? A big call nonetheless. Its a massive plus if he is fit and ok to play. We will need positives all over the field to win this but ive no doubt no effort will be spared. Best of luck to Lyng and his team. Its a massive day for him.
One hard shoulder could end Blanchfields day if he starts, I can't see it happening.
And they will plonk Hegarty on top of Blanchfield to test him out to the max.
No Hannon, for now!
He is not named on the 26 man panel so he is out along with English.
"Blanchfield is definitely out"
Are you standing over this? I heard the opposite yesterday before the team was announced but I wouldn`t be coming on here stating it as fact. I know one father of a player who told me that his young fella would come home and regularly tell him lies about the injury situation regarding team mates.
I never believe anything on here. Now he might not play and i wouldnt be surprised TBH. The only thing that puzzled me about his injury is that he didnt come off in the Clare game if it was as bad as was made out here.
It happened very late in the game and with injuries like a lot after big games in particular with adrenaline etc. it only really started bothering him that night apparently.
Never believe anything you read on this page. It is full of bullshiters.
Hill Tickets on general sale on Ticketmaster
Too many people on here trying to sound like they have inside info, they are just spoofing, ignore.
Let's wait and see if D Blanchfield starts before ridiculing some genuine posters. We all hope he is fit and well.
In fairness to Brookville he is usually accurate so I don't expect to see Blanchfield myself.
See Hegarty named to start in the attack. His last game SF was in the half backs.
He was named at 7 but played half forward in the semi final
ok ...i didnt see much of the other SF
Repeating the request of Conor 05 above : one ticket preferably seated but Hill 16 is also good. I was at the junction of Hill 16 and the old Cusack Stand in both '73 and '74. I think 4 regulars missing in '73 and our number 12 was wearing glasses - is that my imagination ? lol - even still I think we missed a possibly decisive goal ? Perhaps Mick Crotty - otherwise very good player. '74, again from memory, Limerick were on top in the first ten minutes and then were overwhelmed by a very good KK team. I know, 5 decades on, that the game is much different now, but most of those lads in that team would comfortably meet the challenges of the modern game.
Eddie Keher, Pat Delaney and Jim Treacy were injured, Eamonn Morrissey had emigrated after playing the Leinster Final. Kieran Purcell played but had just had his appendix removed and wasn't fit. Paddy Broderick wore glasses on a wet day. Mick Crotty missed a sitter for KK.
The man with glasses (and a white cap) was Paddy Broderick, of Johnstown.

Maths teacher in Johnstown VOC. Now colaiste mhuire. Sound man and good hurler.
Chunky was also dropped from the throw in to add to our woes. Ned area (rip) got a goal that should never have been allowed as about eight Limerick players tumbled Skehan into the net.
Is it just me or does there seem to be a lot less tickets knocking about than previous years? Struggling to get my hands on 2, was no problem in previous years.
There were plenty for sale in Nowlan Park yesterday and big demand also.
Yeah saw that but couldn’t get down from Dublin. Can usually get 1/2 through lads in clubs so hopefully a few come available today.
The morning paper headline was… “Kilkenny without Keher like Hawaii 5-0 without McGarrett”…..
You’d have to be of a certain age to understand that headline 😁
