I can only imagine. Driving across Germany there are more NL-reged Teslas than D-reged.
I would agree with you as I doubt you'd see many Dublin reged cars in Germany. 🤣
I know you're joking but D is actually the automotive country code for Germany. There no C in the country code list. Cork for the win
There was at least one Dublin reg, but we couldn't see it :)
Any recommendations for car seat protectors or covers. Not overly impressed with material
Wouldn't bother. I've done 100K+ KMs with work and plenty of abuse by kids in the back seats over 2.5yrs and seats still clean up fine.
Covers block airbags.
It will be fine, never seen a negative comment on Tesla seats in donkey's years
whats the issue?
Well, for the first time ever, I've curbed a wheel. Can anyone recommend somewhere that will do a repair? Also, does anyone have an idea of price range?
I wouldn't bother doing anything with that...
maybe the the pair pen to colour over the shiny bits...
I've dinged all 4 wheels now, and more than once in most cases!! so why bother repair them when they'll get done again!
Don't worry, we have (probably all) done it. I damaged mine when my car was only a month or so old, first time ever in many miles of driving.
I bought a touch-up pen on recommendation of @jusmeig and very happy with the result. Good colour match and didn't break the bank. If I had sanded it better and applied more coats it would be difficult to detect. Also looked better when I put back on the aero covers.

Hi,
I’m going to be looking at a 3 year old Tesla model 3 with a view to buying it next week, and I’m wondering if there are things specific to this model (or brand!) I should be looking for when viewing the car.
I’m experienced enough at buying cars, but have never had a Tesla - I seem to be presented with conflicting info from various places.
For example, the one I’m considering is the 2019 performance model (car registered in early 2020), but I can’t even figure out if it’s 476, 506, or 525 bhp (10% difference, which is a lot) based on what I’m reading online.
So basically I’m trying to get a “checklist” of stuff I should check for when viewing the car to ensure I don’t miss anything big.
Any help appreciated!
Cheers,
Sam
I’ll start off the list myself with “Check to ensure all body panels align correctly, as some of these cars were made with ill-fitting panels”.
They don't deliver to Ireland anymore, if anyone has recommendations for a touch up pen that would be great
Just installed latest software update 2023.26.1 for the car today and now the app and car shows the recommended charge limit for daily driving is 80% (as opposed to the 90% its always been)😮. 50+km of range I would have normally had is now outside of the recommended charge level!! Not impressed with that if its the case - will this impact warranty if charged above 80% on a daily basis??
I'm hoping that's a mistake, nothing I can see in the release notes about it! Anyone else have the same issue - 2023 M3 LR?
No impact whatsoever on either your warranty or even in your battery longevity (NMC battery in LR and pre-refresh 1 SR+). The difference between 80 and 90% is picking at straws. Generally good to just leave it charge to 70-80% for daily use anyway and charge to 90-100% any time you need it before departure, but if you prefer 80-90% for daily charging that is not going to have much impact over the lifetime of the car.
perfectly judged trip 😎
Like a boss.
I wonder if any owners of recently delivered big battery cars use Tessie/TeslaFi and could share usable battery capacity? In case of LFP that is 60.5kWh.
This might have been mentioned before, but when did they remove the navigation directions moving over to the right of the screen where the "Road" is when you have something open over the maps? only noticed it on Monday as I ended being stuck on the motorway due to an accident, cos i am sure it was trying to get me to leave on the exit before and go the back roads but i had the energy consumption app open
Last update removed it. Hopefully it's brought back again quickly.
Which update version was that? The nav directions still showing on mine when another app is open. I had a software update only last week
It's on 20.8.
It's 57.5 usable in 221 Model 3 (via scanmytesla), I have heard nothing about a larger battery in subsequent models
I think AWD and P are supposed to have larger batteries, but as Tesla does not provide specs I wonder what kind of batteries are being recently delivered.
You mentioned LFP battery, that battery is in the RWD model only so pretty sure that remains 57.5kWh with current shipments.
60.5 LFP battery from CALB with 57.5kWh usable
I mentioned that I have data only from LFP where I see 60.5 usable. I wonder if anyone with recently delivered MIC large battery model has made measurement.
Yes, the LR and P both have bigger batteries than the RWD.
Any idea what capacity Tessie/TeslaFi report on recent deliveries?
