Feels like the right time to start a new thread for next year's gigs.
John Mayer playing the 3Arena on 29 March 2024.
Their last Europe dates were in July and August so it’s probably similar to that. Ireland will probably be the last out of Europe.
August 23/24th sound about right for them in Croker
If the Weekend can play Marlay Park on his 'Stadium show' then MCD could go for that again to save €€€
That fan page on insta says mcd have the Coldplay gigs and they have Beyoncé news next. Do we believe?
Coldplay would easily sell two croke CV parks out.
the weeknd would of just about done 1 aviva.
aviva/croke park only works as venues if you can program multiple shows in one week. Just the costs of set up etc is prohibitive to just put one show there on its own
I just need a beyoncé concert 😭
Ain’t Happening, blame the GAA season
We could be blaming it again when people have to trek to Slane for Coldplay
Blame the GAA season for using a GAA ground for GAA?
Well in fairness the new schedule is the cause and they’ve admitted themselves that it has and will affect availability going forward
obviously GAA HQ can decide their own schedule, it will have a knock on off effect to A) their own finances as they forgo millions in rental fees b) stadium acts skipping ireland as no suitable venue in ireland during the peak europe stadium tour runs of May/June/July
Coldplay aren't playing Slane anyway, unless they've mistaken Slane as being in Dublin.

Good spot. Has to be Croke then. Other venues too small.
Coldplay gig up on Ticketmaster, Fri 30 Aug, no official announcement yet

Damn was off by a week. Same weekend as EP 2024
Very nice
Possibly the end of the tour with that date
Visuals will look amazing with the nights getting darker earlier then
Might EP be the following weekend? Probably not, but not beyond the realms.
Latest it’s ever been is 4-6th september. Has been 30-1st on a number of prior years.
EP ends, on the Sunday before, the 1st Monday of September, bit of a mouthful, but thats whats it has traditionally been, so that means Coldplay at Croke Park is on same weekend as EP, unless EP usual dates are changed.
Neither Coldplay or EP will have issues selling out if both on that weekend
Coldplay playing Croke Park on 29th and 30th August confirmed. Tickets on general sale 28th July at 10am. Presale on 25th.

Fri and Sat now confirmed for Coldplay
Thursday/Friday
Saturday gig basically guaranteed so. Flog the least desirable ones first, standard practice.
Given the typical costs associated with staying in Dublin, the Thursday actually might be the most desirable now!
For a couple (not living in Dublin) to go, you're looking at around €600+ euro for hotel and concert tickets only. Add in food and drink on top.
I think Sunday more so. They haven’t done 3 nights in a row on this tour yet.
Yeah a Saturday gig is not happening. It'll be the Sunday if anything.
Tickets will be 200 + for a pair, and there are no hotels currently available under €1000 for 1 night on Thursday on booking . Com, as practically all hotels, do not open any availability more than 12 months in advance, i am excluding hostels and bedsits mind you !
the major hotels will open up availability in next 24 hours if haven’t already
There should be come law that caps the price of a room when events are on to the average of the same day for the last 6 months for example.
I'll all for a free market, but the hotels happily took our money during covid and they're taking the piss whenever a major event arrives.
