Ive had stuff stuck in the sorting office on the m50 for up to a week. That place can crazy slow sometimes to process parcels.

Fiver coupon if more than ten working days.

Not sure how familiar they are with the Dublin Parcel Hub.

I wonder if we are going to get problems as the volume increases. How are they paying the duty etc ? Hopefully not a return to the pile of Chinese packages awaiting processing

Just got a notice on my parcel at the airport:

Sorry, new tracking update for your package is not yet available because your package just cleared customs and is waiting for An Post to pick up the package.

I'm trying to compare a Shein basket with a Temu basket and it seems to be swings and roundabouts. Is the only thing in Temu's favour the shorter delivery time?

Everything is made in China. Might as well go straight to the source.

But not by giving the source a ton of private information.

Think I saw that shower head on Shein for eighty cents or something if it's gone.

Anyone bought the clothes from Temu, what's the quality and sizing like

Don't those drives routinely misreport the actual available space? I don't really know the ins-and-outs, but you may have issues if you try to actually write more than a few gigs of data on there, idk

Think I got a shorts from Alliexpress, alright, not great.

Shein do fairly decent enough gear.

In the past - yes - big drives like 128G might only have 4G - and then they loop over itself overwriting data - so a quick test of a file of a few gigs work perfectly - but doesnt work once you start to fill it.

But now 64 or 128G drives are cheap enough to give away at shows - so It might well be genuine.

I have actually received a usb drive myself in the past with a virus on it (a free official Avatar Promotional Movie usb drive) so theres is that to watch out for.

I dont normally use USB sticks miself - as they are incredably slow - like 4Mb/second or less - so takes ages to put a big file onto it - and prone to breaking.

I use a camera/phone MicroSD card in a MicroSD->usb card reader - you can get 30+MB a second write speed from these and they are more robust.

Parcel arrived on Friday - one big orange bag with everything in it. The majority of items (homewares, cables, etc.) we're quite good, and are probably somewhere between Euro2 and Home Store and More in terms of quality.

Three items were not suitable for my needs, and I issued a return, only for them to refund right away and ask for me to keep them, recycle, or donate.

I don't like buying from China were possible, but the convenience and range certainly persuaded me. Also, VAT was correctly applied and delivered by An Post.

I received all the products yesterday and I am more than happy with them. Items I would have bought in local stores would cost 10x more, than what I paid for on the website. Fast delivery enough (about a week, as I realised that I had not fully completed the transaction, so I had to go back a couple of days later and finish it) and happy being able to pay with PayPal.

I recommend it, specially for fast enough delivery, it was an Irish address by An post and the products work well, being much cheaper than other stores and free delivery.

Just got my first order delivered today with 1 item missing.

First parcel 5 days inc weekend

Second parcel 6 days inc weekend

All items worth the price. No issues if you have realistic expectations with the prices you are paying.

I'm hooked on the site 😁 Aliexpress is getting ignored by me now.

I'm loving the 30 day price adjustment policy. I noticed an item I got in my first order had reduced in price, so clicked on price adjustment in the order. Their system tells me 3 or 4 items had changed priced and I was due a €5 refund which I received within 5 minutes.

€5 refund on a €40 order which they'd already knocked €10 off with a voucher is nice to get.

Were you onto them about it yet? Their CS seems to be top notch so far, so I'd say they'll sort it out.

FYI, if you move to a 'smart' meter electricity plan, you CAN'T move back to a non-smart plan.

You don't have to take a 'smart' meter if you don't want one, opt-out is available.

Buy drinks in 3L or bigger plastic bottles or glass bottles or cartons to avoid the DRS fee.

Public transport user? If you're sick of phantom ghost services on the 'official' RTI sources, check bustimes.org for actual 'real' RTI, if it's on their map it actually exists.

It’s all a bit late stage capitalism from a quick look at the site.

Opened a ticket yesterday but I haven't checked yet for a reply today. I have to contact them anyhow as the mistake is on my end.

Some of their prices seem to go up and down like yo-yos, some of the stuff I got a price adjustment refund for yesterday is now back up and in some cases dearer than what I originally paid. 🤷‍♂️

Just a tip for anybody using Temu. I got my 1st order used a €20 promo, in fairness the order arrived perfectly, timely with no issues. Some of the items compared to Amazon where 1/3 less typically for the very same items. My tip is to engage with Temu through their customer service agents online, make a point in telling them that in Ireland we are not enjoying the same advantages in terms of promos codes as other countries such as the USA and the UK , after engaging with them for a few minutes, guaranteed they'll dive you further prom code, usually 20% off to a maximum of €20. Anybody from the border areas will know that you always haggle and never pay the full price. Try it out, you'll be amazed what the customer service agents can do in terms of promos codes and discounts. Do this for any upcoming orders, if the see that you have a lot of items already in your basket they'll give you the promo code, only takes about 20 minutes of haggling online. That's my tip for Temu.

Haha those Cavan lads are naturally frugal and are good hagglers, I may look for advice from them.
