Feels like the right time to start a new thread for next year's gigs.
John Mayer playing the 3Arena on 29 March 2024.
Where did u see this?
Rumours of Them Playing 4 nights at croke park next summer... Been Announced next Thursday Supposedly 🙏🙏🇮🇪🇮🇪 Fingers Crossed
That was from fake/scam Instagram account
Taylor Swift has the Aviva for 3 night's next year, can't see another 3 night's their for Coldplay.
That Instagram account is worth a follow just for how funny it is. They claim they're an ex Ticketmaster employee
came across this on twitter
I told you all haha
Where do we get our prizes ?
Croke park is the venue
You still think Slane? I hope it’s Croke and for 3 nights at least, it’s going to be hard to get tickets. TikTok have made their show even more popular since the last tour.
Does this mean U2 won’t be playing in Dublin next year?
Coldplay gone big on Tiktok?
Don’t know what that means, but I meant people sharing their tour vids have made more people want to go, UK fans will want to come to Dublin too since they have no shows there next year.
They are the biggest band in the world by a mile.
The Tiktok brigade like the flashy lights, they want to go so that they can film themselves and put it on Tiktok/social media.
I never understood why more acts dont use those Xylobands, they are brilliant.
I hope they dont split the pitch like they did the last time, think there were 3 sections, complete nonsense.
Wonder if the 4 nights at Croke is actually true now. Excited for the dates
3 is the limit and I doubt promoters/residents will be keen on that number being broken consecutively to enable long term use.
Very nice
I wonder does that Instagram page actually have those golden circle tickets ?
Maybe PUC instead of Croke Park or both ?
Don't think I'd go to Slane too see them
Somehow doubt that page has anything. She admitted it was to get followers for nail saloon business
Jaysus well ill eat my hat.
A gig in PUC would be great but I doubt it. Hopefully 2 gig in Croker this time.
Coldplay dont have any Golden Circle section on this tour, its all one standing area.
That said they didnt last time they played Ireland but the pitch in Dublin was bizarrely split into 3 sections.
Next July is the date I heard, if its Croke Park they will have to possibly relay the pitch after it.
They usually play 2 nights or 4 nights in a venue, 2 nights on a night off then 2 nights on.
There's been matches in CP every weekend so far this month. If the fixture schedule is the same next year, it's hard to see a week being enough time to put up a stage, have gigs and then take down stage nevermind relay a pitch after all that.
I would assume this has been booked for a while so maybe they will work around it? Unless they are playing 2 nights at Slane? I don’t think their show will look at good though with the lights.
2 nights at Slane could be messy as they would have to be over consecutive weekends.
Ireland is last on the list of cities though so its a possibility.
Please don't be Slane, not that place. Anywhere but there.
We will know Thursday.
Light show would work well in August, it would be wasted in late June, early July with the late evenings
Also remember euro 2024 is next mid June -mid July. Any stadiums tours will be avoiding that time for obvious reasons
I could be wrong, but my understanding is Croke Park is not available for any gigs between May and July, due to the championships games. as was evidenced by Sheerans ‘22 April gigs and Brooks ‘22 September gigs, has this changed ?
it hasn’t changed.
GAA can obviously move two weekends of games of May/June/July fixtures out of croke park if they wish but it’s a lot of hassle
So, in the absence, of moving games, that makes April or August/September gigs ,the more likely option, if these Coldplay gigs, materialise
Yeah, also Coldplay tour suppose to be hitting Germany which is hosting euros in June/July so doubtful that Coldplay would be playing in Germany in June/July if that’s the case.
