People who use the Irish language version of their name.
For example, people who were born, christened and registered as Paul Murphy, for example, who start going by Pól Ó'Murachú.
So you keep saying.
That fact is not disputed.
But if one chooses to not to use a provided dedicated path because "all lanes are cycle lanes" then one is a toss pot, one of the highest order.
mod
folks please remember that other posters are not fair game in here the same as anywhere else on boards.
any and all personal comments/attacks on other posters will be sanctioned.
If one refuses to cycle on a dedicated cycle lane because they believe that, in line with the law, "every lane is a cycle lane" and their experience is that said dedicated cycle lane is regularly blocked with parked cars, broken glass, mushy leaves, dog walkers with largely invisible extendible leads and more, is that OK by the folks who insist on carrying an empty armchair and empty couch around with them all day?
I respectfully disagree. In most cases the cycle track is the best option, but there are cases where the cycle track configuration removes certain rights from the cyclist (such as forcing a cyclist to stop so a motorist can turn, as opposed to letting the cyclist go straight while the motorist must wait), or when the cycle track is in disrepair, or when the the cycle track is filled with gravel and other loose debris.
This feeds back into what I was saying before. As a road user, you must be considerate of and to all other road users.
Literally the first time I said it
Wearing a bowler hat and a sash .
You sure @suvigirl ?
You can't disagree with what someone thinks makes them a tosser.
You can try an explain why a toss pots tosspotery exists.
It doesn't make them any less of a toss pot.
But I'm also not referring to someone who might exit a cycle track on to the road for a legitimate reason. I can't think of many
I'm talking about the tosspost that uses the road instead of the cycle track because "all lanes are cycle lanes"
That one is a right bloody tosser.
Ah, please stop saying every lane is a cycle lane, because even the person who said that also went on to say "except motorways", so no, not every lane is a cycle lane. End of.
And I'm sure the poster was complaining about those not using empty cycle lanes and instead being on the main road. But anti-motorists think we mean all cycle lanes all the time even if they're blocked. It's a common thing on boards, pick one single part of the post and go mad on that. It's like when someone gives out about a lifer won't-work scamming the state, and people automatically include every single person drawing the dole instead.
what about footpaths? as in an area put aside for perambulation...
Depends on the age of the cyclist
Oh yeah 😂😂
kids on wee tricycles/two wheelers with training wheels perfectly acceptable...group of grown up lads cycling along as if theyre in the tour de france shouting at me to get off the footpath isnt...
It isn't actually. There is no carve out in the law for children.
What is law =/= what is socially acceptable
This d***head. Awful video.
Oh my god that shocking and sickening. The poor puppy
Wow, I never knew this, always thought under 12 were legally allowed. Everyday is a schoolday!
It's the second video I've seen regarding this 'man'. Cretin.
Pity someone wouldn't throw him across the road......when there's a lorry approaching preferably
Cycling a Brompton folding bike.
(I want a Brompton)
People who bring their bicycles on the DART outside of the allowed hours. Tossers.
Yes, we need to keep drivers off footpaths too.
If they're not blocked when you're passing, but routinely blocked when the cyclist is passing, that might explain why they choose to use the road.
The more important question is why anyone would think that they get a vote on other road user's lane choices. Do we all get to judge every road user now? Every driver using their 80% empty car for short journeys that could easily be walked or cycled?
There's no voting.
Cyclists on the road when there's a dedicated cycle path are tossers.
Arguing why this toss pottery is been judged is pointless.
People that have signs or wear clothes with support for 'trans kids', let kids be kids and leave your trans nonsense out of it.
Any chance ye can agree to disagree on the car driver v cyclist argument?
Here in Germany trains have sections where you can put them and you have to buy a ticket. The ticket isn't expensive though.
It's nice to live in a country that thinks about this stuff.
People who walk on designated cycle paths and motorists who park up on footpaths. Now those people are complete tossers.
Also I'm one of those tossers that recently booked a spa getaway with my OH 😝
