They’ve photoshopped Lottie Ryan and diarmuid Gavin from the website but not removed them for the brochure on the website. Maybe they raised the wrong invoice for that 😂

And maybe this is why Renault only committed to one year and no more. They smelt a rat.

But its surprising RTE couldn't find another willing sucker for their scam to funnel money to Tubridy.

Itd be difficult. Even setting aside covid. Renault had a long term LLS sponsorship contract. Id imagine they would take dim view of LLS brand being used elsewhere.

True but from another POV he didnt break the character of an innocent man in his mind. Innocent RT believes everything will be restored and put back in balance. Only a guilty RT would say none of this will ever happen.

To be honest I am sick to the back teeth of being accused of trolling.

I have a huge interest in this topic and I am pro RT (as can be seen from my post history).

There are also posts from me where I expressed concern that his future does no longer lie with RTE.

you and I have opposing opinions. I respect your right to express your opinion. I believe in freedom of expression and I would defend everyone’s right to have their opinion heard until my dying breath.

these boards are a discussion forum - if you do not want to engage with me in discussion then that is fine.

if you do not agree with what I write then enter into a discussion with me.

calling me a troll is not helpful.

sorry for writing so much - I didn’t have time to be more concise

She’s trying to it time to get her facts in order - expect another numbering list of events

Former RTÊ CFO Breda O’Keeffe - whose evidence about Ryan Tubridy’s contract negotiations was significantly challenged by Noel Kelly yesterday - has told PAC she can’t attend tomorrow as she has nothing to add to her previous testimony, which she had to take time off work to prep

Its Comical Ali level stuff at this stage.

"I will keep the 150k and fulfill the Renault roadshow gigs, and then I will return to my morning show, and all will be grand, but only after I read the mountain of cards and good wishes from everyone, and I can't leave the house except for all the people who say nice things to me, and I'm looking forward to the apology from RTE, seeing as I can't really understand why I'm mentioned or dragged into all of this in the first place."

Or words to that effect. No self-awareness or understanding of the damage to RTE, hurt to colleagues and mess he's created. Handing back the money also conditional according to him, if the roadshow events don't go ahead. He's been so badly advised from the time this all broke.

Never thought I'd see a fan of Dan Breen one of RT and NK's biggest fans. Dan Breen was the antithesis of elites on the take.

Kelly kept insisting that the Renault thing was a 5 year deal. Even after he was told the contract was for 1 year and that it wasn’t even signed or there wasn’t an amount of money stated in it

So he thinks Renault quite amazingly came forward with a request to do a side deal with Tubridy for €75k pa at a time when Kelly was agreeing a renewal of Tubridy’s RTE contract for……….yes you guessed it…….5 years

in other news…… Santa Claus, the tooth fairy and Jack Frost will be in Eason’s tomorrow signing copies of their book “how to fool people”

Or like when trump thought he had definitely won the election way after it was called.

is this the new thing now? If you close your eyes and ears the world is happening how you want

I'm perfectly relaxed. I just find it bizarre that you would ask me what function I was at last night.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,708 ✭✭✭valoren

The only reason for asking you such a bizarre question I can think of is an attempt to try and identify who you might be.

@TruthorBust i guess the Easter Bunny isn’t a client of Noel Kelly then? 😂

Yep, it’s what Director of commercial, Geraldine O’Leary referred to as “ my truth” whilst being questioned the other day. The facts or the evidence don’t count, as long as you believe the distorted version that is “my truth” that’s all that matters, it would seem…

    His soul referenced several times.

I call for reflection and reconciliation.

    He did nothing wrong legally.

I'm going to a prayer meeting where we'll pray for Ryan. After this he tells Phibes to lie and take a sick day from work for yesterday!!

In the name and spirit of Connolly, Pearce and Plunkett.

Those are some of the gems off the top of my head.

Who is in attendance tomorrow ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 53,028 ✭✭✭✭ButtersSuki

    I'm aware of that.

Wouldn't be the first time, not the first time I've been threatened with being doxxed on boards.

There was a time when Renault advertising was good, take the lovely Nicole for example, who people of a certain age will remember, pictured here without “papa “…. Now they throw money at Marty mortuary and Tubridy, bring back nicole…….

I find it funny that most of your posts are thanked by the same single user.

Doherty not appearing tomorrow is an awfully bad look for RTE. The only thing that can excuse this is if she's being removed or resigning from her role - neither of which I have head even a rumour of.

A real two fingers to the PAC.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,321 ✭✭✭realdanbreen

That's good. I was just curious about what makes a guy who couldn't wait to get home from a function to binge watch a recording of Tubs and Kelly before an Oireachtas Committee tick thats all. I mean variety makes the world go round and if that's what floats your boat then great!

It's fairly obvious why people think you're a troll. This is just from one of your posts today:

he dearly loves the people of Ireland, with whom he has raised millions for charity and the people of Ireland - especially those whose lives he saved during the pandemic clearly love RT

yesterday - his humility and remorse shone through - he had asked us for forgiveness - I forgive him with all my heart and soul as do millions of others like me.

There's no issue with defending Tubridy and supporting him, and there are many who have probably gone overboard in the other direction in their vitriol towards him. But the extent, effort, and exuberant enthusiasm with which you do it, as if God himself had bestowed Tubridy upon us even though we don't deserve him, such is God and Tubridy's love for us, comes across as trolling.

If you wanted to flummox him completely give him this function

    f: X —> Y

no I am not trolling - I am trying to be humerous

It does seem to be a newish strategy or tactic among adults in public life

I mean toddlers have been putting their fingers in their ears and screaming blue murder if things don't go their way since there have been toddlers...

I reckon adults are at it now because it's a viable strategy in the somewhat infantilised world of today....the tactic would just wear you down and in the absence of much consequence and perhaps salvaging a nil all draw or even a win when you've made a boo boo....why wouldn't you?

Society is fragmented, polarised filled with factions....brazen it out, plead ignorance, pretend to be contrite, throw a tantrum like an infant...all on the table.

When is the last time you saw anyone genuinely in the wrong come out with their hands up, admit blame, take responsibility , apologise unequivocally and offer to take a fair punishment/make meaningful reparations etc?
