One of the frustrating things from today was that Tubridy/Kelly insultingly kept pretending that it was not they who requested the top up payments in the first place.

On another matter, reported on RTE news that new DG didn't follow todays events in detail from the Oireachtas. If true, he's either foolish or incompetent as serious allegations made about the entity that he's DG of.

In all fairness we all know it would be the pool of actors from fair city so it would be a comedy.
Not directed at anyone in particular but it would be interesting to see what proportion of those currently viewing this PAC meeting would regularly / ever before have viewed such an event.
This might explain why some people are disappointed by the over poor standard of the questioning, waffling, not answering the question asked, etc, etc. It a particular political skill developed over a number of years to be able to confidently provide an answer that in no way relates to the question asked. Reality is that RT and NK are political novices and out of their depth participating in a PAC meeting
They kept asking the same or similar questions from various angles as neither Tubridy or Kelly were answering them satisfactorily. Tubridy was deferring the financial niceties to Kelly and Kelly just kept passing the buck onto RTE. Asking the same questions repeatedly just showed up the ridiculous nature of their so called honest and frank testimony. Their prepared line was that we've done nothing wrong and it's all RTEs fault. Wait till RTE are quizzed on these matters on Thursday and then others affected by their allegations. A lot of bridges burnt.

True _I spoke prematurely I thought the opening statements were strong and coherent but when the questioning started they collapsed into disarray.
They didn't have a decent shot in their locker except RT emotionally faffing around looking for sympathy and NK trying to play the part of a meek innocent abroad being pushed around by the teak tough RTE execs.
No one comes well out of any side of this shameful and embarrassing imbroglio. I say break the link with NK , get rid of RT and have Bakhurst clean out the stinking stables at Montrose.
