I don't subscribe to the idea that just because Tubs and Kelly are throwing RTE under the bus, that that will preclude RTE from negotiating a new deal for Tubs. Theres a new DG. He doesnt appear overly excitable. The old crew are getting resigned, early retired or moved to another role.
I think him, Kelly, Forbes and most of the board are up to their neck in it, pigs in the trough. A culture of excess and waste. But at the end of the day, the DG would have to terminate his contract and face the big payout and legal action that would ensue. As RTE have shown before, if its easier leave him there they will take the path of least resistance. Its going to boil down to listener figures and sponsors. If he has both, I think he may come back at some stage. I still hold out hope that his career in Irish media is over but this is Ireland..........

1) Decided hiding payments in a barter account/ labelling fees as 'consultancy fees' was a good idea

Can you explain why Mr.Kelly, a man immersed in the media business says he never heard of barter accounts until a few weeks ago? When the media themselves have claimed they're commonly used and claim that all perfectly above board. Do you not smell a big stink?
The crap is going to hit the fan once Revenue get their teeth into these boyos and their dealings.
