Tubridy - I was not secretly overpaid by RTE.
Also Tubridy - I am sorry for not questioning why I was secretly overpaid by RTE.
This morning, Alan kelly says the fact that presenter Ryan Tubridy and his agent Noel Kelly still have not provided documents "... does not look good for how proceedings will go today."
Poor old Breda came out with a lot of bluster last week and in one statement she is now shown up as a liar
What about the guarantee to no pay cut when claiming he took a pay cut. Letter addressed to him. He is a scumbag. Hahah claiming leave the LLS was cos of this. Nobody bar a few trolls on here would believe that

It depends on what comes out of this - From the opening statement.....
Bizarrely, the figures they (RTE) declare for both 2020 and 2021 are wrong. In both years they overstate the amount they paid Ryan.
For 2020, the overstatement is €62,536.
For 2021 the overstatement is €83,381.
I wonder where that money went to. Or was it just the usual financial incompetence from RTE.

Tubridy was grossly overpaid in that he's a waffling, incompetent and lazy broadcaster. However the amounts he was paid were the amounts he and his agent agreed with RTE. I don't think he has ever said that he didn't know how much that he was paid and that he was surprised at what it was.
RT looked in The mirror this morning and said this is my Kennedy moment - I’m gonna be president one day - oh you little poverty children, I’m coming.
Ryan Tubridy will tell the PAC there are seven material untruths he wants to address:
1.The claim that he did not take a pay cut from RTE in 2020
2.The suggestion that his "decision to retire from the Late Late Show was prompted by this whole debacle?"
3. That he was covertly or secretly 'overpaid' by RTÉ
4. That he was aware that RTÉ were trying to conceal payments to him
5. That there was a secret agreement with Renault that he tried to conceal
6. That RTÉ's underwriting of Renault's payment obligations was a secret
7. That he did not ask RTE about their under-declarations of his earnings when they released the 2017, 2018 and 2019 earnings on the one day, January 20th 2021
Which comes to as close to 150K as doesn't matter....75K a year? Were they 2 of the years that RTE said they'd underwrite the Renault deal if backed out?
Funny how everyone perdicted Tubs would do the "I know nothing" defence. Exactly what he is doing and wants to continue on with his huge wages. The guy head is up his ass

Will there be tears from Tubridy? In a form of an Act of Contrition? Is Paddy Power offering any odds on this?
His future in RTE is on the line here. Come out as too arrogant and his contract will be let run out in 2025 and won't be renewed.
They're going in all guns blazing, completely the wrong approach IMO but should make for good tv nonetheless.
Tubs and Kelly are being REALLY badly advised if this is their approach - but then again neither strikes me as the type to take advice TBH such is the arrogance. Their only chance at redemption here would have been complete transparency, a grovelling apology, and returning the money. They are clearly not choosing that option.
