TV licence is due here next month. I've always paid this but will be withholding payment until we see real change in RTE with transparent and judicious use of public money. Large cuts required for those on high salaries and contracts. More hours of work. Let Tubridy go peddle his wares elsewhere. Time for change and the Bakhurst fella would want to cop on and realise he'd better deliver on real change and not just fiddling with the facade.

That’s the thing. He can obfuscate and deflect all he wants, and the two of them can whinge all they like about all the “abuse” they’ve received (🙄- 99% of which is completely justified criticism)- but if I was on the committee, I’d just be asking over and over again for him to confirm that he knew the amounts he was receiving annually were tens of thousands euro more than was being publicly declared every year.
The RTÉ board are incompetent and weak, and afraid to stand up to the “talent”, and NK and the likes of RT are only too happy to roll in and take endless advantage of that, fuelled by their own greed and egos.
They all need to go.

That's the bit I'm interested in, and I hope the committee(s) can keep focused on it - how can he explain away the deception regarding his published salary versus what he was actually getting, and why did he need/request/demand a guarantee that it would be underwritten by RTE in a time of major cutbacks.

If you want to be horrified do the math on 2 nights x venue seating capacity x average ticket price on that one.
