Anyone else feel dizzy looking at the snooker room?
Wide angle lenses can have that effect of making rooms looked cramped. And I can never understand people not taking a day to clear/hide all their crap before the photographer arrives. Obviously ran out of money long before it was finished. Even the stables look like they never saw a pile of horse dung. And imagine seeing that horror movie set of a staircase every time you arrived home. Price is high enough given the amount you'd need to spend to finish it and it's location.
The stairs is hideous. And what is with the bottom step? I think that could a trip/mis-step hazard - I wonder is it even in line with regs?
Looks to me like it would make getting up the stairs easier from either room each side of the staircase.
Nice house, grounds, location and views too. I don't particularly like the tower but I'd live with it. The estate agent likes the views if the amount of photos are anything to go by.
The white tiles make it very hotel lobby (continental hotel) ! The wooden floors are so much nicer.
I could certainly rough it and live there.
The walk up and down your driveway would be your daily exercise.
Imagine the rows when the bins have to be put out and collected in winter? 😆
Lovely house, well finished but just too big to be practical.
Don’t often say this but if I could figure a way to live in Sligo I’d buy it in a heartbeat. Fine house, some very nice features and so on. But for me the views of the Dartry Mountains are the winning feature. The architect has really made the best of the site/location. Wouldn’t need a tv, just sit and look at that view all day. I could live with most of it, just chuck out all the ornaments and other dross, and rip out those poxy shiny floor tiles.
You'd have to figure out a way to attach the wheelie bin to the car and drive down at 2 mph 😂🤣🤣
They should cut down the ash tree that has dieback, it doesn't look good in the pictures.
why is this house so expensive? 🤔 its the same price as the much more impressive house in Sligo.
In my house back before there was recycling bins so we just had one we had a car with a hitch and you just put the handle on the hitch and drive up to the top of the road. The bin men now drive in our road so we just have to put them by the gate(yes we have a normal house so no long driveway)
I have seen people when out walking the dog have someone sit in the boot and hold on to the handle of bin and drive out to the top of their road. They have to drive a kilometre. It's a road not their driveway.
I'd say they do the same in that house unless you wanted a short walk for the day.
You have the bonus of inspiration to finish it from the cgi finishes and literally watching the grass grow on the imported topsoil.
Unfortunately, it's an ugly house.
It's not so much that it's ugly per se, but rather that it is extremely ugly, all told…
That one is on the market for a while now too
Not surprised, its 300,000 over priced, I thought there was 20 acres with it or something, crazy money.
I'm all for living in the countryside but that house has another house with ugly sheds right in front of you and compare that to the Sligo house with fabulous views there is no comparison.
950 per month to live in a storage container in someone's garden way out in east cork
Sweet divine mother of jesus!
You wouldn't be able to turn in the bathroom and you'd be claustrophobic in bed. Feck all storage space too so you'd have to throw out half your clothes.
Of course, you could sit out on the concrete and watch the few bits of clothing you have dry.
There's absolutely no way I'd be paying a grand a month for it.
However I do admire what they have achieved from a storage container.
If I was back in my 20's and my parents had a decent garden I'd have been hot snottin into it.
Ideal for an "in-law" too
You'd have been hot snottin back to house in very hot weather and heavy rain though!
At the risk of appearing contrary the rain wouldn't bother me as I wouldn't hear it, if I could hear it I'd welcome the noise as I haven't heard rain in years.
I'd happily live in a greenhouse (without the insects) I love me heat.
Now if it was cold I wouldn't be a happy camper.
But I totally understand I'm the exception to the rule.
I wouldn't be able to fit all my crap into it though (I'd hide that in the parents attic) 😂🤣🤣
Thats been on the market for a couple of years which suggests the vendors simply arent realistic.
Primarily because the seller or the EA are batsh1t insane
Looks like the ran out of money to finish it to me
This looks like a container too or maybe its a prefab but cheaper. You'd want to be hard pressed
Vogue Williams' Dublin house.
This is lovely
It is, she must need a lot of Fairy pods to keep it clean after Theodore and Gigi.
