I wonder how this will work out for him

But we get him in court next week so at least this will be publicish with people tweeting in court.
So win win for us.
Bet he'll find some reason for it to be dragged on until September - and into a new school year.
He will just continue objecting to any panel member that he has not handpicked.
Oh no, an injunction, will this mean my beloved Enoch thread is going to get locked again?
Shush 🤐 🤫
Isn’t it funny how these people ignore court orders but expect everyone else to follow them when they get the result they want? They must think we’re all eejits 🤣🤣🤣
In fairness, yes, they probably do. The truth is revealed unto them and we're just heathens who don't see it.
Can you imagine the screams and dramatics that Martina and Ammi would throw if the panel pulled an Enoch and decided to ignore the injuction and proceed with the hearing anyway?
Would serve him right.
Judge shouldn't have entertained him at all. "Clean hands" and all that.
FF/FG are delighted too!! Darragh O'Brien in particular...failure after failure and still housing minister. Takes the heat off him for a few weeks at least.
He’s been ordered to pay the school’s costs
Not at all surprised by that. Its being reported as "a six figure legal bill".
I also see the Disciplinary Appeal Panel are contesting the temporary injunction against them.

Is he still racking up the €700 a day and fines?
It looks like Louise or whatever they were called is a Deleted User, used to keep track of all this.
The article in the Independant also answers another question I had...
"Mr Burke is currently appealing his dismissal in another forum and remains on the payroll."
Also seems like the hearing was more the usual Burkery, with Enoch haranguing the Judge (Justice Owens) and Martina shouting and roaring out of turn.
Thought the fees would be higher than 15k, tbh. He still has the 700 € per day fine though.
"Mr Burke said that the court had a constitutional obligation to uphold his rights, and he went on to say that Mr Justice Owens had “reneged” on the vow he made when becoming a judge.
After listening to Mr Burke’s submissions, Mr Justice Owens said that he had adhered to his oath as to how he decided the original case.
“You’ve harangued me now for nearly an hour,” said Mr Justice Owens, ruling that he was awarding the school the costs."
The Burke school of charm strikes again.
6 figure costs, plus the 15k damages for tresspassing plus the 700 per diem
*clears throat*
bwwahahahahahaha
Couldn't happen to a nicer fella
He hasn't a hope of paying it though. Nor would he if he had the money.
I dare say Wilsons won't see a penny of it.
He'll never pay it
Maybe
Nevertheless, the rulings going against him, repeatedly, are a joy to watch
No doubt he'll appeal so more to look forward to
The judge might as well have awarded costs against a traveller.
Burke probably hasn't got an asset in his name.
Any legal eagles know if he has a route to the European Court of Justice or Human Rights eventually with this case? Just wanna know if he can drag this out for many more years?
He can challenge on a point of law only i.e. the judge made a wrong decision about X
Not to say he won't, but there would be a very narrow avenue for him to appeal and no result would see him back in the school, having the damages voided, having the costs rescinded, the daily fines written off or his (job related) appeal result overturned.
But hey, a win is a win right, so he'll go as far as he can until he gets some kind of a win at which point he can wave that around and say he was right about everything all along. Its normal operating procedure for the family in these things

True but he'll never get a mortgage or even a car loan once they enforce the judgement against him. Though come to think of it I guess you'd need a job to get one anyway. And to be able to drive so I guess it's actually not that big of a deal..
If he's still on the payroll but isn't working any hours, would he be getting any pay at all? Would it depend if he was on a permanent contract? I'm mad curious to know
Was that little minx of a sister there supporting him? Evangelical totty is tops !
Plus a €15,000 fine for damages
He was a permanent member of staff, had been there since 2018, so presume he is receiving his full salary.
And he has racked up another year of pension entitlement then too without working.
Burke won't pay a penny. He'll be a prisoner of conscience.
