I think some of the production on Tubs' Toy Show was super. I recall Gay being really good on Toy Show. I don't rate Tubs as I've said but I do think Tubs did a good job on this.
I wonder were there no procedures in place as regards, in this instance MM a free car, in other instances LR and DG using the premises for other companies promotions?
And who knows what else is yet to emerge?

There's is an element of under the bus I think looking back on how (Lynch?) had no hesitation in putting that info out in yesterday's meeting. Marty wouldn't be elite D4.
When my father was working in his job in the private sector, he had to declare any gifts he got that had a value of $30 or more (I mention dollars as he worked abroad for a US company). The majority of the gifts he handed in but once in a blue moon he would tell his boss he was keeping something. My dad was also smart enough to not take too many free lunches.
Why can't RTE have done this? More is going to come out and we will see the usual brown noses see their noses turn the colour of Marty's suntan as they keep defending the indefensible.

Apart from Kenny being an infinitely more professional and in-tune broadcaster than RT, he was also clearly a better host on the late late (a show not necessarily suited to his skills).
Of course they played this down - internally in RTE this is management Vs staffers. When it's found that staffers haven't been playing by the rules you'd expect their colleagues to play for the right team. They don't want management to be able to say staff were also playing fast and loose too.
Truth is many staff and management are up to their necks in it.

Why do I always think there is something "slightly odd" about MM? I don't want to get into physical characteristics, but cotton wool inside the cheekbone area is just one thing I always think, and there are others. Anyway, he plays to his own particular audience, D4 not included I reckon.
So Backhurst will clean the place out and sort it for once and for all? Well I don't know, but hopefully he and the board/employees/contractors/stars will be under the microscope from day one of his incumbency. I'm placing no bets though.

I'm not a fan of Marty Morrissey. I don't think someone with a head like that should be allowed anywhere near a television screen. As a matter of fact, his voice is very annoying too, so I'd also keep him away from radio. He's don't very well for himself though, despite everything. He's somewhat unique in that 99% of people who look like that never leave the village they were born in. Their parents didn't leave that village either, and neither did their parents before them. Which is why such places end up littered with people who look like that, sitting on walls all day, smiling at nothing. Harmless, all the same.
That being said, I don't think he's don't much wrong here. It was only a Renault (I bet he pronounces it as it's spelt), not a Rolls Royce.

Marty handed the car back on the 23rd, but only told the management on Tuesday. This seems dodgy to me.
I don't rate him as a song and dance man. I was referring to the production aspects that Tubs wasn't singing or dancing on.
